Taiga's debut is not till episode 32 where we find him during a meeting with the executives of his company. All the while as Taiga is twiddling the window shades with his gloved hand, the executives discuss with Taiga's vice president and caretaker, Kurosawa, over a new indestructible metal that another corporation had recently invented. As one of the executives suggests investing in the new metal, Taiga complies and makes his way out after Kurosawa proclaimed that he would make an appointment to head over to the other corporation.

Later on at said corporation, Taiga and Kurosawa witness a demonstration of the metal's strength as a very powerful laser is shot into it. As they finish using the laser, Taiga comments on that it didn't even leave a scratch on the metal. After the head developer of the new substance goes on to say that if they get more research, the metal would be able to withstand infliction from modern weapons such as missiles, Taiga inquires if his creation will be a great benefit to Humanity. As the developer affirms it, Taiga and Kurosawa agree on that the development should indeed be "invested" upon.

As he rode through town, Taiga noticed a ruckus in a local playground. Upon further investigation, he found one man roughing up another. After trying to reason with the man, claiming that playgrounds are not a place for violence, Taiga was only met with multiple punches. After seemingly doing nothing to defend himself, Taiga finally decided to end it. After giving off a cold stare and catching the vagrant's fist, the man fled in fear. As he picked up and handed over the other man's shoe to him, Taiga seemed to recognize him. Remembering back years ago, Taiga recognized him as his childhood friend, Kurenai Wataru. After demonstrating on how they use to make small sand piles with each other, Wataru then remembered him as well.

As the day progressed, Taiga arranged a formal dinner with the Queen and his finacee, Suzuki Mio. Meeting her properly for the first time, he admitted that he found her suitable for the role that was bestowed upon her. After noticing she was a bit uncomfortable, Taiga confided with her, claiming that he understood that it's difficult being suddenly bound to someone they don't even know. As Taiga claimed that he wished to rectify that, wanting to open himself up to her so she could know him better, he insisted that she try the food that was prepared for them. So she could know his tastes. As the dinner went on, Taiga received a call from Kurosawa claiming that he had finished off the lead developer of the indestructible metal.

As he met Wataru again at Mald'amour, their conversation was interrupted with the arrival of Aso Megumi. As she proclaimed that she'd treat them she recommended an omelet. After Taiga declined the offer and Megumi stating that young guys should live a bit more loose , he claimed that he refrained from eating them. As Megumi claimed that it was a might bit odd and that it'd make things difficult during dates, she prompted herself to ask him if he had a girlfriend. After she jokingly claimed that she'd be his if he didn't have one, he expressed that he wasn't interested. Shortly apologizing for sounding rude, Taiga went on to claim that he was already engaged to be married.

Sometime later after observing Kurosawa take on Kiva and finding a new subject that could further Humanity's advancement, Taiga deiced to invite Wataru to lunch to meet his fiancee, despite Wataru not wanting to impose. After doing so and seeing the two of them get along, Taiga went into Mald'amour then ext day, finding wataru a bit blue, he inquired as to what was wrong. After finding out that someone Wataru was interested in was involved with someone else, Taiga didn't like the sound of this. Proclaiming that there was no one better than Wataru and that he wanted to help him, although unfortunately Wataru passed.

Later on after warning Kurosawa of his hostility towards Mio, Taiga decided to accompany her on her latest assignment. As he noticed that she was depressed, Taiga asked what was wrong. As she claimed it was nothing, Taiga told her to do her best and that she'd make an excellent Queen. As they both saw her target, Taiga commented on his unawareness of Numakawa (the fellow he interviewed before) being a Fangire. After claiming that their target was one in the same, Mio went in to perform her duty. When Mio once again let him go, Taiga didn't mind her doing so as he then walked on claiming that he'd take care of the matter from there.

FinalJudgment.png

As he caught up with him, Taiga expressed his disappointment in Numakawa's losing his pride as a Fangire. After proclaiming that Numakawa's final judgment from King was death, revealing his King tattoo, Taiga called Sagarc. After transforming into Saga, Taiga quickly performed the Serpent Death Break, impaling and hanging Numakawa just before he shattered and exploded.

Sometime later when Taiga headed down to Mald'amour, he walked in to find there was a small party going on. After being informed the occasion was for Wataru's unrequited love, he immediately expressed his displeasure with the situation, believing that the woman Wataru was interested in was too blind to see how he really felt. But soon enough Taiga had Wataru tag along with he and Mio at a local amusement park. After sitting out and watching Wataru and Mio on a teacup ride as he didn't enjoy spinning arond, Taiga, Wataru and Mio were then witnesses to a hostage situation. As Wataru's other friend arrived on the scene to apprehend the criminal, the armed perpetrator threatened to harm his captive. After Wataru's friend tricked him into letting his guard down and was unfortunately beaten down, another stranger appeared and took care of the situation instead.

The next day, Taiga had interviewed another individual who had the potential to further Humanity's advancement. This one, Professor Kanda, claimed that he could transform Humans into superior beings. After he interview ended, Taiga's assistant felt sure enough of the potential his experiment had. As he inquired if they should destroy him, Taiga ordered him to hold off for the time being, thinking that it may be useful to the Fangires.

Later in the day, Taiga had summoned an audience with Bishop. As he expressed his worries over Mio, believing she may have feelings for someone else, Bishop told him that such worries were not for him to be concerned of, that as the King and the rightful heir to the Dark Kiva. As Taiga pointed out that there already was a Kiva, Bishop proclaimed that the Dark Kiva was a symbol of the King, and that he would take care of the present Kiva.

Afterwards, hearing of the Horsefly Fangire, who'd been attacking their own kind, Taiga confronted her. After inquiring as to what she was up to, she immediately attacked. Easily avoiding her, Taiga summoned Sagarc and transformed into Saga. After easily throwing her about with the Jacoder, the Horsefly Fangire fled.

Sometime later, Bishop had once again requested an audience with Taiga. After he walked into a meeting room where Bishop had already seated himself, Taiga asked what he wanted to talk about. As he started to bring up the King's duty to prevent Human advancement, Bishop inquired as to why he allowed professor Kanda to continue his work. Despite Taiga being yet again amazed at Bishop's network of intelligence gathering, Bishop claimed that although Taiga had let him live believing that he could be of potential use to the Fangires, Kanda was unfortunately related or behind the Fangire who had been kidnapping their own kind.

After asking Wataru to meet him at Mald'amour, Taiga arrived believing he needed help from Wataru. As Taiga presented two gifts he intended to give to Mio, he was unable to decide which he should give, so he wanted Wataru's opinion on which she'd like more. Thinking that both gifts were equally nice, Wataru purposed that Taiga just give both of them at once.

Later on as Taiga brought along Wataru to his and Mio's waiting spot, Taiga openly expressed his hopes of Mio liking her gifts. But as they heard Mio's scream in the distance, both raced to it. As the witnessed the Horsefly Fangire abducting Mio, it disappeared. When Taiga claimed he knew where it was going, Wataru volunteered to help. Taiga believing it was too dangerous for him, Wataru insisted on tagging along. After he had reluctantly told Taiga of his true feelings for Mio, Taiga accepted it and obliged to let him come.

After heading over to a research facility, Wataru purposed that they split up to cover more ground. As his search progressed, Taiga then noticed the Horsefly Fangire in combat with Kiva. Wanting to further test Kiva's abilities, Taiga signaled for his giant winged cobra to attack him. As his beast took care of Kiva, Taiga intercepted the traitorous Fangire. After proclaiming that her final judgment from King was death, Sagarc then appeared and he transformed. After a once sided fight entirely in Taiga's favor, he then performed his Serpent Death Break as the Horsefly Fangire made a futile attempt to flee, killing her.

Sometime later, Bisop once again asked to speak with him, this time about when his wedding would be held. As Taiga had believed it was still too early, Bishop went on to claim that the ceremony was important to all Fangires, and that many have been anticipating it for some time, Taiga included. After Bishop recommended that Taiga should work with the new Queen until she felt comfortable to work independently, Bishop then requested that he take head of the preparations, to of which Taiga obliged.

Later on, as Taiga and Mio were spending time with one another, Taiga claimed he had something important to tell Mio. As Mio claimed the same, Taiga proposed she go first. However as Mio insisted Taiga do so instead, he then presented her with three pictures. After proclaiming that he had a tailor for a friend, he told Mio that she could pick whichever one of the wedding dresses she liked that was depicted. Yet despite that, she claimed that she couldn't as she had feelings for someone else. Before she left, Taiga then tore each of the wedding dress designs all at once.

Upset by the recent turn of events, Taiga came up to Wataru in need of his help again. After Taiga told him of what he learned, he asked if Wataru had any leads or suspicions of who it could be. Unfortunately Wataru claimed that he didn't, which caused Taiga to plead to Wataru that they find out together.

After finding Mio sitting at an outdoor cafe, they decided to observe from the nearby shrubs. Soon witnessing that a stranger had arrived and stat down to speak with her, Wataru openly pondered if he was the one she was interested in. As Taiga demanded to know who the stranger was, making a small ruckus, Wataru had quieted him down in order to maintain their observations. After following her as they got up for a walk, the two decided to make themselves apparent as the stranger seemed to have been embracing Mio against her will. When the stranger expressed his desire to fight, Wataru stepped in, preventing it.

Nemesis.png

After Taiga had taken Mio and left the scene, he asked if the stranger was the one she had feelings for. As she denied it, Taiga then demanded to know who it was then. Unfortunately however, she didn't say and left. As he soon found Kiva in a scuffle with the Rat Fangires not too far away, Taiga decided to transform and take his frustration out on Kiva. After repelling the Rats, he engaged kiva and seemingly outclassed him. However after he had beaten, threw around and shot Kiva, he seemingly managed to escape. After trying to find where Kiva had run off to, he stumbled upon Mio and Wataru talking with one another. Maintaining a low profile, Taiga watched as she confessed to Wataru that he was the one she had feelings for. Shocked, Taiga fell to his knees in disbelief.

The next day after speaking it over with Bishop, being recommended to kill off Wataru but choosing not to do so out of their friendship, Taiga then later presented Wataru with an invitation to his and Mio's wedding. As Taiga recalled Wataru's confessing his feeling for Mio, he claimed that wining her over was futile. After saying that there were things in the world that Wataru couldn't prevent or control, Taiga told him to give up. Yet despite what Taiga said, Wataru stated that since she was the first person he had special feelings for, he couldn't give up. After a seconds pause, Wataru's face was swiftly met with the back of Taiga's hand. Before he left, Taiga claimed that he was weak for not fighting back, thus making him believe that Wataru was unable to protect Mio.

Later on he found Mio sitting by a river. After asking if she was waiting to meet with Wataru, he then asked what she saw in him. Claiming that Wataru was a weak man, even for human standards, he further claimed that he didn't have what it took to protect her. However when she tried to walk away he pleaded for her to stop before it was too late for her. However as it seemed she didn't want to turn back, he expressed his pity in having to execute her himself. But before he could, three Rat Fangires appeared. As they drew closer, Wataru appeared and attacked them from behind. As he tried to fight the three on his own, Taiga commented to himself on how Wataru was protecting her from afar and that he wasn't as weak as Taiga had thought him to be.

After Wataru was beaten down unconscious, the Rats then turned their attention to the two. As Taiga had questioned them on if they really intended to attack the King and Queen, they claimed it didn't matter. Their grudge was with the former Queen and that they wish to be appeased by taking it out on the current. After saying to Mio that Wataru was unable to protect her but he was, that he'd prove it. After calling for Sagarc and transforming, he engaged them. W while into fighting the Rats, Taiga noticed Kiva and went straight for him. However unlike before, Kiva was easily able to push him back. As Kiva was about to deliver the finishing blow, Mio appeared between them. As she then reverted to her true form, she hit him back and he reverted to his true form, revealing himself to be Wataru. Leaving both Taiga and Mio shocked by this, Taiga then reverted back and revealed himself to Wataru as well.

After letting Wataru flee, Taiga immediately summoned bishop to the meeting room. After asking Bishiop furiously if he knew of Kiva's identity as Wataru all along, Bishop replied asking if it really mattered. After he claimed that the possessor of Kiva must be killed amongst all else, Taiga then asked why Wataru possessed Kiva. But after Taiga thought about it for second, he then came to a realization, but couldn't believe it. Knowing what donned on Taiga, Bishop then asked if he'd like to see Maya, Taiga's mother. As he asked if Bishop knew where she was, Bishop went on to claim that from then on his path would be then full of obstacles. But when he would finally get through them, he would become the greatest King.

Demand.png

After receiving the necessary directions, the next day Taiga entered into his estranged mother's cave. After commenting on how long it'd been since they'd seen one another and how much he disliked her, he proclaimed his desire to ask her something. As he asked her if she had a child with the Human who caused her treachery, she didn't answer. Irritated by her silence, Taiga removed his glove and strangled her. Causing the King tattoo on his palm to burn her as he demanded she answer her as an order of the King.

Later in the day after finding Mio and Wataru, he took them to Maya's cave. After sending him in there first, he along with Mio followed in a little later. As Taiga and Mio walked in asking if they were done conversing, he then referred to Maya as mother in front of Wataru. As Wataru's confusion was apparent, Taiga then claimed that he and Wataru were siblings. After Wataru asked her if it was true, Taiga explained that she used to be the former Fangire Queen. As he then claimed that Wataru had the blood of a Fangire, and that Taiga himself was a Fangire, the Mantis Fangire then appeared. As he seemingly summoned previously vanquished Fangires and then vanished, Taiga tried to order them to withdraw, but was for naught. After realizing that there was no point in words, Taiga and Wataru each transformed and engaged the rouge Fangires. As the fighting continued, Taiga easily destroyed the Shark Fangire with is Serpent Death Break.

Sometime later, Taiga approached Wataru down town. As Wataru expressed how odd it felt to talk to Taiga since they know knew they're brothers, Taiga claimed he didn't mind since it all happened so suddenly. As they stopped walking, Taiga asked Wataru to become a Fangire, claiming that Humans were like domesticated animals, their food. After Taiga had embraced Wataru, claiming that he didn't wish to live alone anymore and truly wanted Wataru to be with him as a brother, Wataru pushed him away, claiming that Humans weren't food, and that he wanted to the species to work together in the future. Seeing Wataru's words as complete blasphemy, so much so that he found it funny, Taiga claimed that such a goal was futile.

Believing that Wataru wasn't quite keen on becoming a Fangire just yet. Taiga requested the aid of Bishop in the hopes that awakening the Fangire side in Wataru would lean him more towards becoming Fangire. And with this task at hand, Taiga and Bishop appeared at the site of the Blue Sky Org's agents attacking Wataru. After Bishop had subdued IXA, Taiga tried to point out that their attacking him was what he got in return for protecting the Humans. And with that he then instructed Bishop to complete that which what they had set out to do. After Bishop finished, Wataru was sent into a bloodthirsty rage and attacked the nearby remaining agents. However after he had snapped out of his rage, Wataru soon fled in realization of what had just occurred.

Sometime later after telling Mio his plans to integrate Wataru into the Fangire ranks and have him work as his right hand, Taiga went to see an old associate. After riding up next to his car and stopping in front of it, Taiga then proceded to walk towards the man emerging from the car, Shima Mamoru. After Shima had stated that he'd have preferred talking to him over a meal, he recalled that Taiga never ate anything, or ever accepted anything he gave. After Taiga claimed that for some reason, anything Shima had to offer wasn't quite to his tastes, Shima felt almost insulted. Recalling when his mother asked him to take care of Taiga, Shima tried his best to care for him, But Taiga dissagreed. Claiming that Shima was only keeping him so as to use him for the Humans' ends, hence why he ran away. After a moments pause, Shime then asked Taiga if they wanted to cooperate in destroying Kiva. Not surprised by Shima's proposal, Taiga declined the offer, claiming that with Wataru as his brother, he would give him the proper treatment he deserved.

MotherandSon.png

Sometime later, after failing along with Bishop at an attempt to destroy IXA, Taiga once again visited his mother. Telling her that he intended Wataru to live as a Fangire, he claimed that she should be happy about it. As it was the only sensible path for Wataru to take, Taiga reassured her that he'd be cared for properly. Afterward, Taiga then wished to know something else. Deducing that she still had them, Taiga asked when she would relinquish the power of Dark Kiva to him as it's rightful possessor. As she paused for a moment, he then asked if she was actually considering giving them to Wataru, despite that they rightfully belong to the King, to him. Acknowledging that, Maya simply claimed that it would happen when thet time would come. With that, Taiga proposed that the time would be when he would be married to Queen. Asking if she accepted the deal, she acknowledged. Before he left, Taige even invited her to the wedding, but warned her to stay out of the sight of other guests still interested in killing her.

Later on, Taiga appeared before Wataru down town after he had tried to convince him to live amongst the Fangires. Ad Wataru was preparing to face the Seamoon Fangire, Taiga inquired as to what he was up to. Believing that Wataru sided with the Humans, Wataru claimed that he wanted to be neither, but himself only. and with that, he transformed into Kiva and engaged the other Fangire. causeing Taiga to remark to himeslf that he had spoiled Wataru a bit much, and transformed into Saga.

Upset and anting to fight Wataru, Taiga then summoned a swarm of giant Sagarcs, killing the Seamoon in the process. After dodging the energy beams the creatures fired, Wataru immediately summoned the Zanvat sword and made quick work of the lesser monsters and finished off the largest one with his own finisher. With this, Taiga was now able to face him one on one. However, instead of fighting Wataru, Taiga de-transformed and asked why Wataru fought against him. claiming that Wataru's rightful path was with the Fangires and him. However Wataru didn't see it that way and stated that it didn't matter if they were Fangire or Human. What was important was what was inside. After Wataru stated that he's choosing to live the way he believed was right, Taiga claimed that if they continued in this manner, then they'd eventually have to fight one another. As Wataru said that he didn't want to fight his brother, Taiga as well hoped for the same, and left.

Sometime later, Taiga had arranged a meeting with Shima. Claiming to have accepted Shima's proposal to join forces and destroy Kiva. However Shima thne immediately deduced that Taiga wanted to psychologically corner Wataru, and give him no choice but to turn to Taiga for help. After Taiga had expressed how he was still impressed with Shima's ability to see through his plans as always, Shima had unfortunately decided that he changed his mind on the matter. Believing that Wataru has his Fangire side in check, he could be of great help to the Humans. Angered, Taiga asked Shima why he hated Fangires so much. Before thanking him for the meal and leaving, all Shima responded with was that the scars Taiga left on his back still hurt.

Later in the day, after sending the Sungrazer to assassinate Shima, Taiga then appeared before Wataru as he stood by Shima's side, assuring him that Shima wasn't dead. As he walked in, Taiga requested that Shima be turned over to his care, confident that he could help him. After Wataru looked back at the man, he turned to Taiga and asked him to do so.

After finishing up his work on Shima the next day, Taiga browsed through a flower shop, requesting the most exquisite flowers for a special occasion. However unexpectedly, Mio appeared behind him, asking what the occasion was. As he was surprised that she was there, she explained that she wanted to spend time with him so she came there looking for him. As she once again asked what it was that was so special, Taiga hesitated to say. When she asked if it was going to be his official wadding proposal to her, he nodded. After she said that she'd accept the proposal, Taiga, in a fit of joyous excitement, proclaimed that he'd buy all the flowers in the shop, and then some.

JoinBrother.png?t=1230624777

Later on, Wataru came to Taiga to thank him for what Wataru believed Taiga did to bring Shima back on his feet. However Taiga wished Wataru to show his gratitude through his actions, rather than words. Confused as to what his brother meant, Taiga then frankly asked that Wataru work under him. Claiming that they're much more suitable, Taiga once again implored that Wataru join the Fangires. However as Wataru declined, just as before, Taiga was lenient. After saying that if Wataru changes his mind, all he has to do is let him know. However Taiga's patience was wearing thin, and claimed that the next time would be the last.

Growing impatient as time went on, Taiga appeared to Wataru as he fought the Sungrazer, wanting to know what path Wataru had most definitely chosen, the Humans, or beside Taiga with the Fangires. After Wataru said that he chose his own path, Taiga claimed he had had enough and would make him submit to the Fangires by force, and transformed. After he had thrown him around some with the Jacoder, Taiga began to question whether Wataru was seriously fighting. Saying that he didn't want to fight and harm his brother, Taiga de-transformed and said that he'd make him want to fight, somehow, and left.

Sometime later, Taiga went to speak with Mio. After she told him that she would liked to have the ceremony as soon as possible, just between the two of them, Taiga was sent into a fit of joy. Hugging her, he recalled how he was always alone, but with her, and soon enough with Wataru by his side, he'd never have to be. With them, he could then truly start his life.

Later on, Wataru went and spoke to Taiga about what he had done to Shima. As they spoke, Taiga tried to play dumb, saying he didn't know what Wataru was talking about. With Wataru once again asking, Taiga claimed that he did just as he promised, he cured Shima of his injuries. Confessing that he gave Shima the power of a Fangire by putting one in him, Shima then appeared, asking why. Claiming that he wanted to teach Shima a lesson on what it was to be a Fangire, Wataru expressed his dislike for Taiga's actions. However Taiga tried to justify what he had done by claiming that it was for the sake of protecting the Fangires. Just as the Humans do for themselves, he, as King, must do for his own race.

The next day, Taiga and Mio then began their wedding, with no known witnesses. After professing their vows, placing an elaborate chain around her wrists and sharing a glass of some kind of wine, they then proceeded to finalize the ceremony with a kiss. However, just before their lips met, Taiga then felt something enter his gut. Stepping back, Taiga had seen that Mio had stabbed him with her hands partially reverted to her original form. After Taiga had collapsed, Mio then ran. However, she was then cut off from her escape by Bishop, but Taiga ordered him to stand down. After claiming she didn't do anything, Bishop asked why he insisted on protecting her despite the blatant fact that she pretended to love him in order to get close enough to kill him. Still denying what Mio had done, she then finally did escape.

After looking for Mio, Taiga came upon Shima, having taken full control over the Sungrazer's half of his body. As Shima proposed they finally finish things off, once and for good, Taiga obliged. Trasforming into the Sungrazer's body, Shima attacked. Avoiding his charge, Taiga quickly transformed into Saga and proceeded to then attack Shima. Quickly forcing him back, Taiga then used the extending function of the Jacoder and pierced it through Shima, causing an explosion and defeating him. And as luck would have it, Wataru appeared, asking Taiga why he did what he had just done. Not really caring much, Taiga told him that Shima was just a Human, therefore there wasn't any need to get worked up over. Enraged, Wataru finally transformed into Kiva, displaying the serious attitude Taiga had been looking for.

As the fight went on, the tide of battle seemed to have been in Wataru's favor, mostly due to the wound inflicted by Mio earlier. After he managed to get Taiga on his knees, Wataru readied to finish him off. However, as Wataru was in mid air, Mio jumped in the way, protecting Taiga. Unable to stop, the attack hit Mio instead, sending her over the cliff.

Sometime later, after removing Shima from the battlefield and trying to chase Wataru down for what he did to Mio, Taiga sat to himself in his meeting room as he mourned for Mio's death. As Bishop tried to console Taiga, suggesting he rest, Taiga instead opted to seek revenge on Wataru for killing Mio instead.

Later on, as Taiga still mourned for Mio's death, Bishop asked him how much longer he was going to sulk around. After he said that her execution was inevitable, Bishop told Taiga to forget about her for the better. As Taiga asked if he heard Bishop correctly, Bishop explained that he personally carried out her execution for her most disgraceful betrayal. And with Wataru demoralized and unable to fight, thinking that he delivered the killing blow, he wouldn't be able to fight them from then on. After claiming that two nuisances have been taken care of simultaneously, Taiga erupted in a fit of rage and began to beat Bishop to the ground. As he claimed that what Bishop did could not be atoned for, Bishop fled.

As Taiga visited Mio's grave, he soon noticed Wataru there as well. Claiming that she died because she was between them, keeping the separated. Wataru proclaimed that in order to prevent something like what happened with them wouldn't be repeated, he proposed that they finish things. With Taiga agreeing, he once again proposed that Wataru be his right hand. However Wataru was adamant on not doing so, claiming that if Taiga saw humans as nothing but food, he would never help him. With their set paths in mind, they each took paces back, both transformed, and attacked.

As their fight took them elsewhere, they were soon separated by a series of explosions and various Fangires holding them in place. With Bishop appearing, he announced his intention of deposing Taiga as King and personally choosing the new one.
