Character Synopsis

We are first introduced to Wataru as he is in the middle of collecting fish bones for Violin varnish. Brandishing various sanitation garments and a notepad with various responses, he believes himself to have allergies to everything on earth. Thinking that If he can breathe the filthy air of the world, it makes him filthy as well. However with his meeting of Aso Megumi after a failed attempted to steal leftover fish bones from her lunch, and some encouragement from Shizuka and Kivat.

He soon got over his Germaphobia and for the first time (shown in the series) transformed into Kiva. Saving Megumi from the Horse Fangire and bringing an end to his feeding.

Unfortunately discovering that using fish bones as the main ingredient for a Violin varnish to match the Bloody Rose's doesn't work. He set out with Shizuka (who, to his dismay, accepted a repair job for Wataru on his behalf) to find wood that matched the damaged Violin. After failing to retrieve a suitable piece, he set his sights on a small round table just outside of Mald'amour, only to be caught again by Megumi. After a scolding from her, Kido allowed Wataru to have the table and eventually completed the repairs to Miyazawa Hitomi's Violin. However, unbenownst to Wataru, Ms. Miyazawa is revealed to be the Spider Fangire. Using the violin that was damaged by Aso Yuri in a fight 22 years earlier , she lured Megumi to her so as to get a form of revenge against Yuri. Unfortunately, for her, Wataru showed up and transformed to Kiva. After a long fight both on foot and wheels, Kiva defeated Miyazawa.

Sometime later, Wataru and Shizuka went back to Mald'amour to thank Kido for letting them have his table. After a brief commotion from Megumi being startled by Bullman (Kido's Dog), Wataru introduced himself, immediately giving Kido a small look of reminisce in his face. He eventually, after being asked by Megumi as to why he wanted to change himself, explained that he wanted to be like his father, Kureinai Otoya. Unfortunately, his views on his father were soon sullied when a lawyer by the name of Natsukawa Aya presented him with a list of offenses committed by Otoya. Knowing that by the law's standards, Wataru really has nothing to do with it. She brought these to his attention making think he was morally obliged to atone for the offenses.

200pxworkgw9.png

After meeting with the various people who were legally offended by Otoya, Wataru was only put into a great state of grief. It was during this period that he met Nago Keisuke during the pursuit of one of his Bounty heads. After refusing to hear any more bad things about his father from Natsukawa, Wataru headed to Mald'amour with hopes to meet Nago there, which he did. Explaining his plight to Nago, and meeting another person whom Otoya had legal confrontation with. Wataru then decided to basically assist or do the jobs of the offendees as a form of reparation for his father's so called ruining their lives, much to Megumi's disapproval, but to Nago's praise.

But with the reemergence of the Moth Fangire, Wataru immediately went into action and confronted it once again. Quickly beating it down to the point of changing to it's human guise, that of Ms. Natsukawa. She then confessed that she had a grudge against Otoya for not returning her feelings of love she had for him 22 years ago. But quickly after, she reverted back to her true form and gained the upper hand in the fight. Eventually gaining enough distance from Natsukawa and her blade, Kivat summoned the Garulu Saber from Castle Doran to even out the fight. Soon after, Natsukawa was defeated via Kiva's Howling Slash.

Sometime later, Wataru decided to perform a small concert for his neighbors so as to get along better with them. Unfortunately, he froze up and performed badly, which quickly caused the room to clear out. Feeling worse about himself, he decided to one again visit Nago for guidance. Nago then tasked Wataru with observing and guarding Megumi for him, believing it would help in making him a better man. It was during this task that he encountered Kuramae Noboru, a fellow "guard" also observing Megumi under "Nago's request". Wataru, with instruction from Noboru, sneaked inside Megumi's dressing room During her photo shoot session to retrieve her cell phone that "had been bugged". However Megumi caught Wataru right as he had the phone in hand.

Confessing that Nago asked him to, Megumi spoke with Nago. Belittling him for making Wataru spy on and steal from her. With Nago being confused about the stealing part, Wataru explained that it was instruction from the other "guard" sent to protect Megumi. But Nago quickly disregarded that, saying that he had no one else on it and that Wataru was tricked by someone stalking Megumi. Yet despite this, Wataru continued to follow her for Nago until Noboru confronted her. Revealing himself to be the Sheep Fangire he attempted to take Megumi for his own, however Wataru quickly interrupted as Kiva and engaged in combat. Realizing the Fangire's speed, Kivat summoned the Garulu Saber to help. Unfortunately this proved futile as well.

As Noboru made his way for Megumi again, Nago blocked Wataru's path. Proclaiming his intent on Killing Kiva. But as he reached for the IXA-Knuckle, he was distracted by Megumi being kidnapped. This allowed Wataru to retreat and revert back to his normal form. Eventually reaching the spot of Megumi's kidnapping with Nago already present. Nago took notice of Wataru and asked if he had seen Kiva. With Wataru simply pointing to himself, Nago meerely scoffed it as a joke and left.

A short time later, Noboru returned to to see Wataru, displeased of The Spider Fangire's keeping Megumi for himself. Being led to their hide out, Wataru kindly asked to have Megumi released and to be put in her place in exchange. Unfortunately, the other Fangire didn't take very kindly to this and promptly K.O.ed Wataru and scared Noboru away. After regaining consciousness and being restrained, Wataru contemplated giving up. However Megumi wouldn't have any of it. Making use of a wing shaped necklace, which she noticed was in various pictures of another woman, to cut Wataru free. But before she could cut the ropes completely, the Spider showed up with Megumi's wedding dress. Only then to be interrupted again this time By Noboru, shooting and forcing him to flee. With him out of the picture, Noboru then on decided that Megumi is his bride to be.

Eventually, Wataru, with the use of the necklace Megumi slipped to him earlier, cut himself free for his restraints and resumed his search for Megumi. Luckily, he and Kivat caught up with Noboru just before he could consummate his ritual with Megumi and transformed into Kiva. Unfortunately, Noboru's superior speed and personal firearms proved to be a bit overwhelming in his current form. So with some lucky tree cover, Wataru and Kivat summoned the Bashaa Magnum. With Noboru scoffing their attempts to shoot him, Wataru and Kivat readied their Basshaa Aqua Tornado. Firing it, Noboru attempted to dodge. But this proved futile as the pressurized water projectile homed in on and eventually hit him. Leaving Noboru highly fragile, Wataru meerely poked him and shattered, with his soul soon devoured By Doran.

Soon after Wataru's performing successfully with his violin for Megumi, she decided to check herself out while he and Shizuka visited. However Nago insisted that she didn't. Wile the two quarreled, Wataru picked up some fallen rose petals form the bouquet Nago had tried to bring for Megumi and concocted a new idea for varnish experiment.

Later collecting flower pedals elsewhere, Wataru had received a phone call from Megumi asking him for a date. Saying that she's treating him to the expensive Restaurant Maison Cercueil as thanks for helping her earlier. Just as Sizuka decided to turn down the date on Wataru's behalf, Megumi hung up. Just as Wataru was frozen in joy, Nago appeared with yet another favor to ask. To Megumi's dismay, That favor turned out to be gathering information on Maison Cercueil, as it was believe a Fangire was hunting it's customers. Speaking to both Megumi and Nago separately afterwards, and taking in their opposing views on each other. Wataru was left to ponder as to why humans fight amongst themselves instead of getting along.

The next day, after finishing closing the restaurant, Wataru continued to look back on the conflict between Nago and Megumi and human conflict in general while playing the violin to himself. but in the middle of it all, the Prawn Fangire appeared to a couple who had previously dined at Maison Cercueil. With Bloody Rose promptly alarming Wataru, he set out. Arriving on the scene just after the Fangire took the life force of the couple. As the two faced off, the Fangire brought forth a Halberd to get the upper hand. Realizing that fists weren't going to cut it, Kivat summoned the Garulu Saber. While it was clear the tables were turned, Nago showed up to try and fight Wataru by himself. Making use of the distraction, the Prawn Fangire escaped. And utilizing his superior agility, Wataru escaped as well, franticly looking for a place to hide from Nago.

At a later time, when Wataru was reporting to Nago about Maison Cercueil, Megumi stormed in, still angry that Nago continues to use Wataru for his work. Nago, once again believing Megumi's statements to be nonsense, leaves. Shortly sitting down with her, Wataru inquires as to why Megumi has bitter feelings towards Nago. Megumi replying that because of his narrow way of thinking, a small mistake in Nago's father's corporation was blown out of proportion and drove him to commit suicide. Later asking for Nago's side, he explained that whatever the mistake it's wrong.

Later on while opening Maison Cercueil, Wataru spotted a special sauce that Count Inukai had been preparing. Pleased with the color and texture, Wataru immediately took a ladle full home to see if it would work as a varnish. Being spotted by Megumi on the way, she followed him to his home. After praising Wataru for not only playing Violins, but making them, the varnish made of the sauce caught fire on contact with the Violin he made. Just as the fire was put out, Inukai burst through the door, fired Wataru, and took his sauce back. With Megumi's suspicions growing, Wataru had proposed another date to investigate further.

At the rendezvous point, instead of finding Megumi there, Shizuka was in her place. Clearly acting surprised, Shizuka dragged Wataru to Maison Cercueil just before Megumi could arrive. While dining, Wataru tried to warn Shizuka about the food. However when Inukai arrived and proclaimed his dishes were special, he immediately revealed his physical Fangire traits. With that apparent, Wataru and Shizuka immediately rushed out. With Shizuka safe, Wataru went back to face Inukai. Transforming into Kiva just as Megumi had been thrown off the docks by the Fangire.

With the fight very much again in their favor, Kivat even decided to get some of the action. However, just as Inukai left their sights, he escaped. Only to later be found grasping a multicolored rose, and mysteriously shattering. While examining the odd flower, a Sabbat appeared above Wataru. Being showered with energy projectiles, Kivat summoned Castles Doran and Shoodoran. With Wataru and Shoodoran now perched on Doran, Wataru ran down the back of it's neck to it's head and unleashed his Darkness Moon Break while engulfed with Doran's Fireball, Destroying the Sabbat.

After being displeased with the progress of making violins, Shizuka brought Omura Takeo, an expert in violin repair, to prove to Wataru that there's nothing wrong with his violins. However upon his inspection, Omura casts the violin the the small fire Wataru had going previously, despite Shizuka's objections. Acknowledging that Omura is a great man, Wataru goes on to state that he wants to make a violin like his father's on his own. Agreeing with Wataru, believing it to be an admirable thing to pursue, Omura requested that he at least see the violin that Wataru is trying to match. After inspecting the Bloody Rose, Omura states that Wataru cannot make a violin like it, and instead should strive to make a violin that only he can make. After hearing this, Wataru then decides that he would like for Omura to teach him.

200pxteacherbk2.png

As Omura was in the middle of teaching Wataru to go back to basics, Shizuka had unfortunately interrupted by dropping the tea she had been preparing and made significantly more noise over cleaning it up. Being painfully bothered by this, Omura left to take a break. Through instruction from Omura, Wataru continued making the violin he and Omura had started. As he was making progress, Kivat expressed concern as he didn't have a good feeling about Omura. However Wataru wouldn't have any of it. Thinking too highly of his new teacher, he didn't wish to think anything negative of him.

But before Kivat could say anymore, the Bloody Rose's tune signaled them both to seek out the Frog Fangire. The Fangire gaining the upper hand with his personal firearms, Kivat summoned the Basshaa Magnum to fight firepower with firepower. Making quick work of of him with his superior marksmanship thanks to the Magnum, Kiva knocks the fangire into his human guise. Shocked to see that it's Omura, and Omura feeling likewise about Wataru being Kiva. However he retreats still thinking Wataru as a threat. After catching up with Omura, Wataru pushes him out of the way of IXA's line of fire. Imploring Omura to run away as he stands between him and IXA, who turns out to be Nago demanding an explanation. Only apologizing, Nago simply had enough of Wataru and leaves.

Resuming their work on the violin training, Wataru claimed that he didn't view Omura as a Fangire, with Omura responding that he didn't think of himself as one either. After going on to say that he hadn't feasted on human life energy for over 22 years, Wataru asked why. Omura confessed that it was because of a promise that had to do with the Black Star violin that he created many years ago. Stating that it was a great violin, but unfortunately wasn't lucky to have owners he deemed worthy. Going on to reflect on his promise, Omura brought out an audio cassette recorder. Wataru interested as to what was on it, listened. Put into awe by the violin solo he was listening to, Omura confessed that the promise he made to not attack humans was to Otoya. And that the very music he recorded from Otoya restrains his hunger to feed on humans.

Later that day, Wataru decided to see Nago again. Asking him what the Fangires were, and then openly pondered if they're not all evil. However Nago remarked that all Fangires are humanity's foes. Wataru bringing up the possible scenario of that there might not be Fangires who feast on humans, Nago quickly interjected. Stating that they're all evil no matter what and that he is always correct.

Going back to his Violin making, Kivat commented on how strange for a Fangire Omura was. But soon after, the Bloody Rose once again played it's tune to head to a near by construction site. It is there they find Omura roughing up many of the workers. Desperately trying to reason with the enraged Fangire, Wataru pulled out the fustle to ready his Darkness Moon Break to stop Omura. However as he is landing the finishing blow, Wataru deliberately missed. Omura, snapping out of his frenzy, retreated. Catching up with Omura, Wataru found that Omura's second encounter with Nago had left him slowly dieing. Apologizing to Wataru and to Otoya for breaking his promise, Omura slowly stumbled to make his way to where he hid the Black Star. All Wataru could do was just watch as Omura exploded into countless shards, dispersing into the nearby river.

200pxkengooz7.png

Sometime later, still working on what he and Omura started, Wataru remembered back to his now deceased teacher's words of making a violin unique to himself. Taking these thoughts on a walk in a park, Wataru heard something, a kind of music he'd never heard before. Seeking out the source, he found a strange fellow with dual shades of hair singing and playing a guitar with fine skill. Enamored with the instrument, Wataru wished to play it. The Kansai accented fellow, although pleased that someone liked his performance, denied him his request. However he handed Wataru a red bass-guitar he had also been carrying instead. While tinkering around with the strings, trying to precisely imitate the odd musician's note movements, the stranger inquired if Wataru had experience with a guitar. Replying with that he didn't, the self proclaimed Rocker decided to lend Wataru the guitar. As the two part ways for the day, they exchange formalities, ending with the stranger introducing himself as Eritate Kengo.

Back home, Wataru was, for a first timer, catching on to the instrument rather quickly. Unlike Shizuka's slight concern in Wataru's music transition, Kivat was proud of the lad for broadening his horizons in the music world. Showing his progress to Kengo later on, Kengo was truly impressed. Believing Wataru to have real talent, he excitingly implored that he and Wataru form a band. However Wataru wasn't as enthusiastic. Pointing out that they could not form a proper band since they only had one guitarist, a bassist but no drummer. With Kengo now realizing this for himself, it was almost as if it were on cue that Shizuka arrived on the scene. Displaying impressive skill as a drummer, Kengo was ecstatic that he now had a new band.

To celebrate, the three went to Mald'amour. Kengo expressed his hopes in he and his band mates developing a strong friendship, much to Wataru's joy. Even Megumi, who had been drunk due to overconsumption of Irish coffee (as Kido pointed out), was happy for Wataru. Just then, Nago walked in. Conversing elsewhere, Wataru apologized for how he acted in their last meeting. Not thinking much of it Nago replied that he who overreacted. With the two on good terms again, Nago requested something from Wataru. To find Kiva so that he may do away with him once and for all.

While continuing his bass guitar practice, The Bloody Rose again played it's tune, signaling Wataru to the next Fangire. Just as the Fangire made it's way onto a helicopter pad, Wataru appeared and transformed. The fight being one sided, the Fangire's defeat was imminent. However just as it made it's retreat, Nago on the IXAlion rode out and rammed the eccentric Fangire away. Dismounting with the IXAcalibur in hand, Nago charged. Still thinking highly of Nago, Wataru only blocked the strikes Nago made against him, not countering once. While being able to withstand the IXAcalibur's sword mode, Wataru was helpless against it's gun mode. With Wataru on his knees, Nago mounted the IXAlion, revved up the engine, changed the IXAcalibur to sword form and rode towards Wataru. With one great swing, Wataru was forced off the building's roof and fell into the close by river.

Luckily, Wataru managed to wash up and crawl to a sallow end of the river. Still uncontentious, he was shortly sound by Ryo. After being poked a few times, the fangire did a little dance of joy thinking Wataru to be dead and decided to mutilate the corpse by crushing his head with a rock. Just as the fangire had it over head, Wataru twitched. This immediately frightened Ryo and caused him to run off. As the Fangire made his retreat, Wataru stumbled onto land, clutching his elbow in pain and passing out. The next day, during the band's practice for their live performance (which Kengo took the liberty of naming them the "Ikemins") Wataru wasn't able play properly due to his injury from his earlier battle with Nago. Kengo believing that Wataru's simply having second thoughts, did not become aware of the injury till Nago had treated it sometime later.

Later that day as, the band dined at Mald'amour. Kengo decided that since Wataru can't play with his injury, he should perform on vocals. This didn't quite sit well with Wataru. Stating that he can't sing infront of a crowd and bringing up that they lack a bassist anyways. But just as that was said, Megumi (who had apparently been there the whole time) claimed that she could fill in. Just as Watar was in the middle of making his way home sometime after, the Bloody Rose signaled that yet another Fangire was about.

Eventually arriving at a nearby construction storage area, Kiva engaged Ryo who had once again made an attempt to capture Megumi. However just as he had sent the Fangire through some fence sections and aluminum barrels, Nago showed up again to challenge him. Donning IXA, Nago started his assault through Firearms. As Ryo made another attempt to attack Wataru, Nago shot him off, claiming that the Fangire's role was finished. As Ryo ran again, Wataru attempted the same. Mounting the Machine Kivaa, Wataru rode out and stopped right in front of Nago and along with Kivat, Summoned the Boron Booster.

200pxroadfightgo0.png

As they took their fight to the road, the assistance of the Boron Booster made it futile for Nago to shoot and decided to take it close. Eventually arriving in a quarry of sorts, the two were facing one another directly. Revving their engines, they both rode towards each other and jumped off their bikes for their own powerful kicks. However due to the extra boost, Wataru came out the victor in the end. As the band's first live performance came, Wataru found himself too nervous to sing. As the crowd blatantly became displeased, Wataru's band mates encouraged him to sing as they kept playing. Digging deep into himself, Wataru found the courage to to sing.

Sometime later after the band practiced, Kengo invited Wataru into his apartment. While being treated to Kengo's Okonomiyaki dish, Wataru listened in on his friend's philosophy on Rock. Stating his confidence that Kengo would make it to a professional career, Kengo immediately agreed that they both would, much to Wataru's surprise. But while leaving for home for the day, Wataru was approached by a strange man. Eventually explaining at a nearby restaurant that he's a talent scout, intending to provide the chance for Wataru to have a professional career. However, despite Mr. Miyake Toru's full suport, Wataru claimed that he did not want fame. Instead stating that he should talk to Kengo, believing he to be the more talented musician.

The next day, Wataru had invited Kengo into his own home. Thuroghly impressed with it's size he even took notice of Wataru's many violin's in production. When Wataru mentioned his goal of creating a violin that would surpass his father's, Kengo disagreed. Believing that they both have the same dream, he questions Wataru's interest in Rock to begin with. Explaining that it saved him, that it made him more confident in himself and gave him the courage to follow his dreams. But Kengo scoffed it off as being selfish until Wataru started to play the Bloody Rose. After being moved by it's melody and Wataru's skill, he realized that he was the selfish one. Feeling embarrassed for forcing Wataru to follow his dream. Fortunatly, Wataru didn't think much of it and the two vowed that they'd both pursue their own dreams together.

Later on during a stroll, Wataru noticed Kengo in a construction yard. Asking what he was doing there, Kengo explained that he was scouted. But in order to make his pro debut he needs to make a certain amount of money in order to fund it. Wataru, offering help, also wished to make Kengo's dreams come true as well. Accepting Wataru's help, Kengo vowed that when he will become a star, he'll pay Wataru back many times more for the money.

Back home; Wataru, applying bandages for sore muscles due to the work, Tells Shizuka about his part time job in order to support Kengo. Surprised about the part time job, she expresses more concern in that Kengo shouldn't have to be gathering money for a debut and that he might be being duped out of his money. But Wataru, believing otherwise, tells Shizuka that she should not be so suspecting of others.

Back at the construction sight the next day. Kengo and Wataru, while transporting heavy sandbags by hand, reaffirm their drive for the future. But just as he was in the middle, the Bloody Rose sounded the call to fight. Racing off to the next Fangire attack, Wataru makes it just shortly after the Rhinoceros Fangire had his meal out of an unfortunate artist. Transforming into Kiva, the engaged the brute only to find that hand to hand won't work. With that apparent, Kivat once again summons the Basshaa Magnum. However even with the aquatic monster's assistance, the mighty Fangire still overpowers Wataru and escapes.

Sometime later, Megumi warns Wataru of the possible dangers of working with Mr. Miyake. As per request of Shizuka, Megumi mentions that her investigations on him have shown that several people involved with him have gone missing, further speculating that he might be a Fangire. With the knowledge of the possible danger, Wataru tries to talk Kengo out of his debut. Further stating the points that Shizuka had brought up earlier so as to not get Kengo involved with Fangires, or sound foolish. However Kengo doesn't take kindly to it and merely believes Wataru to be jealous for not being the one closer to his goal.

200px0forgivenessil0.png

After listening in on Kengo and Miyake's discussion, Wataru follows him to his home where he finds a sort of grave monument. Miyake explaining that they were once people who had dreams and used their passion to get to them, which he liked best in their life energy. Franticly searching, Wataru comes across Kengo's picture, whom has yet to be truly added to Miyake's collection. Expressing his hatred for Miyake, Wataru transforms into Kiva and attacks. After luanching a barrage of punches that seem to have no effect, Wataru was forced into the defensive. Eventually using Miyake's force to knock him over the edge of his roof. But unfortunatly, Miyake fled yet again.

Later on when Miyake was just about to add Kengo to his collection, Wataru appeared form the ceiling, hanging as though he were a bat. Taking the fight (as Kengo watched in amazement) into an impound lot, Kivat and Wataru, after growing tired of being held down, then decided that in order to overcome the Fangire's strength, they're going to need even greater strength. Shortly after, they finally summoned the Dogga Hammer from Castle Doran. After easily dominating the Fangire, the two then preformed the Dogga Thunder Slap, destroying Miyake and leaving a large fist imprint in his place.

Sometime later during a walk with Shizuka, she and Wataru notice and odd man trying to walking into a creek. After the man fell into a deep spot, Wataru and Shizuka race to pull the man out. Explaining that he was saving a Crayfish from drowning, Shizuka informs him that Crayfish live in water. After making their way, the two notice the stranger following them. Inquiring as to what he wants, the stranger responds with asking them who he is. Puzzled, the two ask for his name and where he lives, both questions he admittedly doesn't know the answers to. Thinking for a second, Wataru comes up with that the stranger must have amnesia.

Inviting the man into his home, Wataru fixes him a meal since he was apparently hungry enough to drink the varnish made of Shiitake Mushrooms that Wataru as using to make a new varnish. After teaching him how to eat properly with chopsticks since he probably forgot how, Wataru thought of him as though he were a little kid and opted to take care of him. Shizuka bringing up that he needs a name, Wataru thought up of "Dai-chan" due to his large frame and childlike actions.

Later that day while engaging in making a violin, the newly christened Dai-chan expressed his interest in helping. Unfortunately, his help turned into a burden as he had accidentally pierced one of the uncompleted violins. Apologizing for the accident, Wataru merely blew it off and simply requested that he didn't touch any more. However much like a child, what he was told went in one ear and out the other as he again attempted to use a carving tool on another violin. Wataru noticing this before Dai-chan could do any damage, once again told him to not touch any of the violins.

After losing track of Dai-chan, Wataru finds him in town fixing a restaurant delivery-girl's loosened bike chain. However noticing that he isn't having much luck, Wataru helps and eventually puts it back into place. The girl expressing her thanks, says that she'd treat them if they stop by her family restaurant, and then makes her way off. Unluckily, Wataru's legs went numb and couldn't walk for the time being. Fortunately, Dai-chan was able to carry Wataru on his back home.

Back home, as he was preparing some food for himself and Dai-chan, the Bloody Rose plays it's tune for battle. Arriving on the scene, Kivat and Wataru summoned the Garulu Saber immediately on transformation. However despite the technical advantage of carrying a weapon, the arms monster seemingly had no affect on the Lion Fangire. That, along the Fangire's apparent considerable fighting skill, brought him to take Garulu from Wataru and use it against him. But before the killing blow could be delivered, the Fangire droped the arms monster and retreated due to some kind of cranial pain.

Sometime later after playing a volleyball like game with Shizuka and Dai-chan, the delivery girl, Eriko, Watatu and Dai-chan had helped earlier stopped by. Soon they were invited to a free meal just as Eriko had promised earlier. With her and the owner (Eriko's father) wanting Dai-chan to work since he's quiet, nice and strong. Wataru was unsure due to Dai-chan's amnesia, but with the two saying that the job might help him to remember, he reluctantly agreed.

Later that day, as Wataru and Shizuka were wondering if Da-chan was being a bother and if it was a good idea to leave him there. Dai-chan burst through the door with delivered food. Claiming they didn't order anything, Eriko cane in after him and tried to correct his error, saying that the delivery was to someone else. Still feeling a bit worried, they decided to look in on him during work. Surprised to see that he wasn't a nuisance at all and was actually doing well, despite some easily rectifiable mistakes. Wataru and Shizuka put their worries to rest on that matter.

The next day, the owner of the restaurant showed up unexpectedly at Wataru's home. Claiming Dai-chan being popular with his customers and that he was strong and kind, he asked to have Dai-chan to take over the business after him. Unsure of this, Watauru and Shizuka decided to watch over Dai-chan a little more. Observing him while he spent some time with Eriko, Dai-chan claimed to have remembered something. A red tiled fountain.

Thinking over this at Mald'amour, Wataru noticed Megumi in the background, but didn't quite recognize her at first, claiming she looked a little aged. Taking slight offense, Megumi backed herself up by claiming that she had been up all night looking over Fangire cases from 22 years ago. But as Wataru had turned away to mind his own business, Nago walked in. While overhearing Megimi and Nago's discussion, Wataru noticed a picture. A picture of a red tiled fountain. Later taking Dai-chan to the spot, he immediately showed some kind of strain. Believing Dai-chan to have had enough, Eriko took him away from the the fountain.

200pxdairookzx1.png

Returning home, Wataru and Shizuka wondered about whether Dai-chan was alright. But soon enough, the Bloody Rose sounded it's tune. Arriving at the restaurant, Wataru immediately noticed transparent corpses. Looking further in, he saw Dai-chan bare his Fangire claws and drained the life energy of Eriko, causing her to fall to the ground and shatter like glass. Wataru, in disbelief, was thrown out of the restaurant by a sheer wave of power by Dai-chan. Walking out in a completely different posture and attitude, Dai-chan stated that he had fallen asleep 22 years ago, and due to that sleep, he lost his memory. Dai-chan then officially introduced himself as Rook, one of the all powerful Checkmate Four. After Rook's reverting to his original form as the Lion Fangire, Wataru then transformed into Kiva, much to Rook's intrigued surprise.

Managing to get the first few hits in the fight. Wataru is then easily overwhelmed and thrown back by Rook's considerably superior fighting skill and strength. Getting back up, Wataru was then brought to his knees as he was showered by Rook's explosive projectile claws. Taken by the neck and lifted off his feet, Wataru was then severely wounded when Rook impaled him through the gut with his claws and again, threw him back. With Rook summoning a Sabbat to finish Wataru off, Kivat summoned Castle Doran. However just as Doran arrived to combat the Sabbat, Nago appeared with the new robotic dragon machine, fighting the Sabbat and destroying it. But just as the Sabbat was destroyed, Caslte Doran swallowed Wataru, taking him from danger.

When Wataru had started to come to, he heard some voices talking about a promise to his father. But instead of seeing anyone, he briefly saw the Basshaa Magnum, Garulu Saber and the Dogga Hamer perched on a chimney pedestal. But Just then, he woke up on his couch and dismissed the whole ordeal all as nothing but a dream.

Some days later after thinking about how Dai-chan regained his identity and murdered everyone in the restaurant, Wataru wondered as to why everyone he believes to be an exceptionally kind person turned out to be a Fangire. When questioning his reason to fight, Kivat tried to get Wataru to forget about it, despite his recently contracting cold.

Eventually deciding to take a trip to the country side (leaving a note behind for Shizuka not to look for him) to think, He encountered a woman on a lakeside practicing Archery. Being asked if he wanted to try, he took up the offer. After some basic instruction, he fired the arrow and missed the target completely. Eventually going on for a jog with the woman, they discussed about what Wataru does. Stating his job as a violin maker, he mentioned that he hadn't been up to making them as of late.

Heading back into town to go to a gym with the woman he met earlier, the two run into Megumi. Surprised to find him, Megumi tried to take him home. Unfortunately, the woman he met earlier has other plans. Stating herself to be his new teacher, only to have Megumi say that she is his "Special cute teacher". As the two continue to argue, they turn the battle of words into a literal tug of war as each grab hold of Wataru's arms, yanking on him to where they want to go.

Eventually heading into the gym, they started out with lifting weights, which Wataru had a hard time with while the women seemed to have been dealing with just fine. Moving on, the three started archery, with the women cemeteing against each other while Wataru just watched. Unfortunately, as both were getting closer to the dead center of the target, the woman collapsed.

Later on, she explained that she often hears a sort of sound. A sound much like when she was attacked by odd flying fang like objects. Wataru easily recognizing this as a trait of a Fangire. The woman even going on to state that the sound caused her to lose her chance in performing in the Olympics. This immediately caused Megumi to recognize her as as Kurosawa Mami, an archery competitor who represented Japan in the previous Olympics. But soon enough, the Bloody Rose made the call for action and Wataru set off to find the Seastar Fangire.

Arriving just before he could take his next victim, Wataru transforms and drags him to an outdoor stage area. Duking it out for a while, Kivat decides to summon the Garulu Saber since he cannot help properly with his cold affecting him. However just as the arms monster was at arms length, Nago, appearing on the scene, made use of his fake fustles and called the saber to him instead. With the Seastar Fangire still trying to fight, Nago slashes at him to get him away from the target he wants more, Kiva. Slashing and chopping away at Wataru numerous times, and shooting him with the IXA-calibur. Wataru manages to escape as the Seastar Fangire shoots an electrical bolt from his chest at Nago all the while laughing maniacally.

The next day while at home, the Bloody Rose plays it's tune for battle, but due to the previous events, Wataru refuses to respond. Even with Kivat's insisting to go, he does not move, claiming that IXA can take care of Fangires. Growing annoyed with the Bloody Rose, Wataru makes takes it out of it's display shelf and makes the notion to smash it. However as the violin is about to meet the corner of the table, Wataru stops. Setting it down, Wataru continued to ignore the Bloody Roses' call till it stopped.

It wasn't till he heard of Ms. Kurosawa's attack at the hands of a Fangire that he started to regret not answering the call to fight. Later visiting her at the lake where they first met, they converse over why they do the things they do. With Wataru stating that he does something a voice tells him to do, despite not wanting to do it, Ms. Kurosawa relates. Recalling back to when she was younger, grownups and such always told her to do things she really wasn't interested in doing. She then mentions that because of the advice she took from someone from the past, she stopped and did the things she wanted to do instead.

Taking in what Ms. Kurosawa said into mind, Wataru ponders about what he needs to do. Wanting to just make violins, he feels unsure whether to fight or not just because he's told to. But with a little encouragement from Kivat, Wataru realizes that it's not the Bloody Rose that tells him to fight, but from what's inside that tells him to. With his fighting spirit restored, the Bloody Rose sounds the call for battle.Heading back to the lake, Wataru transforms and reaches the Seastar Fangire just before he can consume Ms. Kurosawa's life energy.

After the first few seconds in Wataru's favor, the Fangire takes the advantage when Kivat's cold gets the better of him. With Kivat unable to help Wataru, and with the Seastar Fangire's ability to shot electric bolts from his chest. Kivat decides to make it up by summoning all three Arms Monsters into battle at the same time. Making use of each of the Arms Monsters individually, Wataru vastly shifts the tide of battle to his favor and finally defeats the Seastar Fangire with his Darkness Moon Break.

Sometime later while collecting Snails for a new varnish, Wataru and Shizuka are approached by a trio of highschool students. As the three picked on Wataru, Kengo arrived on the scene and had beaten the three bullies into submission. Taking Kengo to Mald'amour afterwards, Wataru inquires as to what Kengo had been doing since the last time they met. Kengo states that he'd been spending that time on self reflection, thinking over his philosophies on Rock. Wataru Wanting to know what Rock now is to Kengo. The rocker states that to him, Rock is… Kiva! Much to Wataru's dismayed surprise, Kengo goes on remembering that watching Kiva's fighting style had changed his views. Wanting to know who Kiva is, Kengo repeatedly asked Wataru for his identity till Nago showed up claiming that Kiva is an enemy to humanity. That he had attempted to destroy humanity in the past and that he's more dangerous than any Fangire. Wataru openly disagreeing, was directly met with Nago commanding him not to talk back. However just then, Megumi enters agreeing with Wataru. Backing him up by stating that Kiva had saved her a few times before and that they really didn't know if he was freind or foe.

Eventually, the group decided to take the mystery to the supernatural through Kengo's suggestion, believing that they can use a fortune teller to find out Kiva's identity. As the fortune teller ended his chanting, he says that Kiva holds a terrifying secret. However after being asked what the secret was, he collapses. Not surprised that the fortune teller failed, Nago began to leave. However Wataru had also passed out.

Eventually Wataru came to, however he after waking being surrounded by his friends, he noticed as though someone was inside of him. After shopping with shizuka sometime later, they ran into the bullies fro earlier who Kengo had beaten away. Wanting revenge for their last encounter, the three assaulted Wataru, but just then, he blacked out again. Coming to in a maid cafe while being hand fed, Wataru hears the tune of the Bloody Rose. Arriving in an underground parking lot to face the Ladybug Fangire, Wataru transforms. Unfortunately upon transformation, he blacks out yet again.

200pxriderkick2mb9.png

After coming to again at a warehouse, Wataru soon noticed the Sabbat emerging from the Warehouse. Immediately transforming, Wataru and Kivat summoned Caslte Doran for assistance, unfortunately Doran arrived late. Emerging from the ground, Doran perched Nago along with his mechanical dragon on top of itself. Combining firepower, they managed to push the Sabbat back and finished it off as Wataru and Nago both kicked straight through it. Landing back on top of Doran, Wataru then fled the scene.

Back home, Shizuka expressed how good it was to have the normal Wataru back. However Megumi didn't feel quite the same as she wanted to thank the "other Wataru" for helping her earlier. As the two girls argued, Wataru noticed the violin frames he had been stuck working on earlier were finished and perfectly shaped. But he couldn't quite help but wonder who did it for him.

Sometime later, after he Kengo had begged Nago to allow Kengo to be his disciple, Kengo proposed that he should take Nago to a group date. Unfortunately Nago was not in the same spirits. However Megumi liking the idea, as she had not apparently been on one for some time, suggested Wataru go along with them.

When the date began, and everyone started making their orders. Wehn it came to Wataru, he couldn't decide. When Megumi just teased him to try and order something, the one girl, Keiko, tried to vouch for Wataru as she openly found him attractive. Later as the date went on, Keiko expressed curiosity as to what type of girl Wataru was was interested in. Unfortunately he yet again got nervous and didn't know what to say, much to Megumi's annoyance. However Keiko vouching for him again claimed that his timid attitude was what was good. She then concluded that he liked the kind of forceful"big sister" type. Still nervous, all he could do was just quietly agree.

A little later after Nago took part in the date's antics in his own subtle way, the waitress whom had been serving them during their stay had unfortunately tripped as she was carrying small bowls of ice cream. Spilling them on Wataru and Nago, who was not quite pleased about it, complained to the manager. Noticing she had ran out crying, Wataru decided to follow.

Eventually finding her sitting on a bench, Wataru dismissed her many apologies. After her explaining that she was a shy person, the kind to subscribe to various magazines, catalogs and newspapers often just for the sake on not turning others down, Wataru identified with her. Claiming to do the exact same thing. The two even showed off their common traits as they bought cold tofu from a vendor on a bike.

But soon enough, the Bloody Rose sounded the call. Eventually finding the Chameleon Fangire in the forest, Wataru attacked him as he had already transformed into Kiva. Easily proving to be the more skilled fighter, he and Kivat decided to end it quickly. Performing the Darkness Moon Break, the Fangire turned invisible and quickly moved out of the way, much to Kivat's disappointment.

Later on after Kengo had inquired if Nago had a good time at their group date, Kengo had then asked if Wataru had gotten lucky. After denying that he didn't, Wataru then asked if Kengo met anyone he liked. When he claimed that it was Suzuki Mio, the waitress from before, Wataru felt happy for him.

200px-Complain.png

Unfortunately as Mio stopped by Mald'amour the next day, she explained that her and Kengo's date didn't leave her feeling very well. After thinking for a while, Megumi, who had also been there, decided to play matchmaker and thought that Wataru was better suited for her. As Wataru was unsure of himself, Kengo, who had apparently been in the door long enough to overhear, was in disbelief. After Mio had apologized to Kengo, claiming herself to be selfish, she ran off. While Megumi encouraged Wataru to follow, he felt he shouldn't since he believed it would further wrong Kengo. But as Kengo expressed his approval of the situation, Wataru then gave chase.

As Wataru looked for her, he eventually founder her at the bench she ran to the other day. As she expressed that she felt useless because of her imperfections, Wataru openly disagreed. Saying that people can change if the really think they can, Wataru showed this as the vendor from the other day showed up. This time turning the vendor down, he then took Mio by the hand and ran off.

Being taken to a local clothing store, Mio explained that she had never bought any clothes she had really wanted and always bought what the shopkeep recommended to her. So wanting him to keep her on track, she brought Wataru with her to show that she too wanted to change. As they walked in, the shopkeep recommended various articles of clothing for her. Watching over her, Wataru gave her a quick word of encouragement. After choosing and purchasing a blue dress, the two then made their way out.

Soon walking up to a jewelry vendor, Mio chose a set of earrings. When Wataru looked on, Mio asked him as to what ring she should get as she wanted one as well. As Wataru recaled that Mio wanted to buy things of her own choosing, she replied that she was choosing him to pick something out. Understanding now what she meant, he then did pick something out that was luckily to her liking as well.

Later in the day as Wataru and Megumi watched over Mio as she was working, everything seemed to go quite well. But unfortunately just as things seemed for the better, Mio again tripped over herself and spilled some cold ramen over some customers. As she ran out this time from being fired, Wataru followed. But as he saw that Mio was being attacked by the Chameleon Fangire, Wataru immediately transformed into Kiva.

Again proving to have the upper hand in fighting skill, the Fangire turned invisible again when he had enough distance. As it decided to fight while invisible, Wataru and Kivat found themselves overwhelmed. Believing the situation to bee good enough for it, Watatu and Kivat then summoned the Dogga Hammer. Using the hammer's all seeing eye, Wataru then chucked the hammer at the Fangire, immediately knocking him off the wall. As the Fingire rose to his feet, Wataru then performed the Dogga Thunder Slap, killing the Fangire.

Blush.png

Sometime later, Wataru chatted with Megumi and Kido as to if he had another date set up since Megumi thought the two were a good match. But after his brief pause in embarrassment, Wataru asked if Megumi had a boyfriend. Embarrassed herself, but trying to play it off as insulted, Megumi then confessed that she didn't. After she was asked what kind of man she preferred, she stated various things like being knowledgeable, athletic, lively and good looking. After Wataru brought up Nago immediately after Megumi stated her preferences, she almost bursted with anger had Nago not have walked in the cafe.

Later in the day after Megumi learned of a difficulty in her latest photo shoot, she thought of bringing Mio down to the set. At first Mio had been reluctant, Megumi finally persuaded her to do it with Wataru's help. So now with the extra model position filled, Megumi took both Mio and Wataru to the set. Luckily things were going well till someone stole some jewelry the photography staff were planning on photographing. Chasing after the culprit, Wataru stopped when he came to a dead end. Unfortunately instead of finding the thief, he was ambushed by the Grizzly Fangire.

After being roughed up some, Wataru then transformed. Unfortunately still not being able to contend with the Fangire properly, he and Kivat soon summoned the Garulu Saber. Leveling the field some, Garulu form managed to hold it's own against the Fangire. But after it took quite a few unwanted licks from Wataru, it managed to trow him back some and escape, which resulted in Wataru displaying some wild frustration due to the Arms Monster's influence.

After the photo shoot, Wataru, Mio and Megumi returned to Mald'amour to celebrate their success. After Megumi suggested that Mio be a full time model, she immediately denied it believer that she'd be too shy for it. But Wataru thought otherwise as he encouraged her to do more, whatever it may be.

The next day, Wataru and Kengo had been walking and stopped on a knole down town while Kengo was asking about details about his and Mio's relationship. But a short while later, the two noticed Nago chasing after the theif from the photo shoot, Takeuchi Shinji. Kengo jumping into action to help his newfound teacher/master, cut off the theif off from escape. But apparently as he had no choice, he transformed into the Grizzly Fangire and charged his way through Kengo and Nago.

Shinji.png

Afterwards, Wataru followed Shinji to a nearby hospital where he found him taking care of his wife, Ryoko. Later on the two talked, with Shinji believing that he couldn't do very well for Ryoko over the 22 years they were married. But despite that, he still wanted to do something to keep her happy, even though he didn't know exactly what it was she wanted. After Ryoko had walked out of her room, despite her illness, she claimed that she didn't want anything, but she brought up a tree the two had planted previously.

Wheeling Ryoko out with Shinji, Watau tried to signal for a cab, but just when he didn't seem to have any luck, Mio pulled up in a Bento Delivery car. After her telling Wataru that it was apart of her new job, Watatru asked her to take the two to where the needed to go. After taking them there, Nago once again showed up, intent on doing away with Shinji. With Nago activating IXA, Shinji soon reverted to his Fangire form and the two fought. The two at first evenly matched. Until later in the fight Shinj managed to get the upper hand and had beaten Nago down. Realizing this, Wataru and Mio then ran away. Unfortunately Shinji caught up, bent on killing Mio.

But after Shinji actually managed to inflict harm on her did Wataru call for Kivat and transform. Unfortunately as Wataru pulled Shinji away, he easily beat Wataru down and made his way back to Mio. Luckily, when all hope seemed lost, a small gold dragon, Tatsulot, appeared and allowed Wataru to transform into Emperor Form. Now armed with this new power, Wataru again gets Shinji away from Mio. After further overpowering him, Wataru performs the Emperor Moon Break, pushing Shinji a considerable farther distance. After leaving him for dead, Wataru goes back to find Mio, but unfortunately discovers that she's not where he left her.

Sometime later, Wataru and Mio stopped in at Mald'amour and talked about Mio's new job. As she was only just a delivery girl, she expressed her hopes in actually making food later on at some point. But after Wataru openly declared that he looked forward to her doing so, Megumi burst in, assuming they were on a date. Despite Wataru and Mio saying that they weren't on a date at the time, she further tried to play the matchmaker between the two. As she went on, Nago, from the other end of the cafe, insisted that they not bother with a romatic relationship and instead focus on how they can better the world.

The next day, Mio came to Wataru's home, declaring that she wanted to split up with him. Believing it was something wrong with himself or what he possibly did, inquired if it was because of him that she wanted to leave. However after she claimed it wasn't his fault, she didn't give a straight answer, despite Shizuka (who was also present) demanding one. After apologizing, she left.

A little later, Wataru ran into Ryo and the Shark Fangire. Transforming, he immediately engaged the two in battle. However after the two seemed to get the upper hand, Tatsulot arrived and brought forth Emperor Form once again. With the extra boost in power, Wataru readied his Emperor Moon Break. After attacking and Destroying the Shark Fangire, Ryo retreated.

Help.png

Sometime later Wataru had found Mio stumbling into his home. After she had passed out in his violin making studio, he carried her down and tucked her into his bed. After playing her a song while she slept, Mio woke up apologizing for coming back despite saying that she wouldn't see him again. Not caring about what she said before, Wataru vowed before her that he'd become stronger to protect her. After Mio got up out of bed despite his pleading for her not to, she asked Wataru for a glass of water. But when he came back to hand it to her, she was gone.

After looking in various places around town including the one where they first got to know each other, he eventually found her being chased by Ryo. As he transformed into his true form, Wataru shuttered at that he couldn't transform in front of Mio. After taking a beating from the Fangire and thrown asside into the river, Wataru quickly moved away and transformed. After heading Ryo off as he tried to leave, Wataru and Kivat summoned Tatsulot to transform into Emperor Form. After delivering a swift beating to the Fangire, Wataru and Tatsulot then summoned the Garulu Saber. After fastening Tatsulot to the Arms Monster, Wataru then performed the Emperor Howling Slash, destroying the Fangire.

Sometime later as Wataru was training himself with various physical exercises, Shizuka came racing into the room. After she showed him a portable television advising a look out for Nago as he was wanted by the authorities, Kengo then came into the room accompanied by Nago. As Kengo tried to get Wataru to help out, Shizuka advised against it as he might then be viewed as an accomplice to a fugitive. After Nago explained that the Wonderful Blue Sky Org. members were being framed for various crimes all because of the actions of a past user of the IXA System, he left as he heard police sirens closing in.

A little later on as he wondered about Nago and Kengo's current condition and whereabouts, as Kengo had gone out to look for Nago after he left, Shizuka commented on that he should be worried more about Kengo since she believed he was Wataru's first friend. However Wataru claimed otherwise as he soon told her about his childhood friend, Taiga, whom he hadn't seen in many years.

Sometime later after saving Kengo from the Crap Fangire and meeting Nago and Megumi's then jailed superior along with Kengo, the two were then appointed as temporary agents of the Blue Sky Org in Nago and Megumi's absence. With a short training session with the Blue Sky Org's standard issue gun/whip, Wataru and Kengo went out and patrolled the city for any signs of a Fangire disturbance, which luckily was the case as the Crab Fangire resurfaced. Unfortunately the two were overwhelmed in combat despite having what appeared to be a decent amount of experience with their weapons.

Due to Nago traveling to 1986 and rewriting the past, the recent events involving members of the Wonderful Blue Sky Org being framed for various crimes were negated unbenownst to everyone save for Nago and the Arms Monsters.

GaruluFever.png

With the emergence of the Crab Fangire, Wataru along with Kivat raced to the scene where Kengo and Megumi were already locked in battle with the monster. Transforming, Wataru jumped in and separated the Fangire from his friends. After beating down the crab Fangire with some help from Megumi and Kengo, The Cicada Fangire then stepped in to aid the Crab. As Wataru found himself outnumbered and overwhelmed by adversaries, Nago then appeared. Activating IXA and transferring to Rising IXA, Nago took care of the Cicada, which then left Wataru to deal with the Crab. After further dealing a beating the Crab Fangire, Wataru and Kivat summon Tatsulot and finish of the Fangire with the Garulu Saber as Nago did away with the Cicada.

Sometime later, Mio called Wataru to meet at mald'amour. As they talked, Mio apologized for what had happened previously. Not bothered by it as much, Wataru did however ask why she claimed that they couldn't see one another before. But seeing the expression on her face, he then dropped the subject. After she yet again apologized, Mio then told Wataru that she decided that she wanted to continue to see Wataru from then on. And to make the moment all the better, Shizuka came from across the cafe, encouraging their relationship.

The next day as Wataru visited Kengo in the hospital, he presented him with a new guitar pick. Liking how it felt, he decided to try it out with his guitar, but unfortunately couldn't play. After telling Kengo not to force himself, Wataru told him to take it easy for the time being and that when Kengo would get out, that he'd be the first to listen to his playing.

Later on as Wataru and Shizuka were making their way through town, The Bloody Rose sounded it's call. Racing into action, Wataru arrived a bit late as the Warthog Fangire had already had his way with his victim. Transforming, Wataru jumped into action and engaged the Fangire. Unfortunately he proved to be quite a uniquely powerful Fangire. After being hit back many times, Wataru commented on his strength, which the Fangire took positively on. After he bragged about his intentions on becoming the King of the Checkmate Four, which confused both Wataru and Kivat, the two then summoned Tatsulot and transformed into Emperor Form. This time fighting the Fangire with better chances. As they went on, the Warthog claimed that once he'd become King, he'd defeat Kiva. After Wataru go some distance between himself and the Fangire, the Warthog told him to wait for their rematch until that time, then vanished.

Sometime later after Wataru rehearsed calling Mio with Kivat, he attempted to call her to see a movie with him. Unfortunately, she didn't answer. After waiting for her to pick up, Shizuka speculated that she might have been busy at the time, or maybe she had lost interest. As he brought up that he already bought the tickets, Shizuka proposed that she go with him then.

When Wataru decided to visit Kengo at the hospital, he overheard to nurses at the check in counter saying that he'd likely never be able to move his fingers properly. After arriving in his room Wataru advised Kengo not to play the guitar for the time being. Not wanting to tell him what he heard, he suggested that Kengo lay off the guitar so that his fingers would get better.

WhyWataru.png

Later in the day as Wataru was pondering over his various plights in Mald'amour, Kengo burst in. As Wataru was glad to see his friend out of the hospital, Kengo wasn't in the same spirits. As he demanded to know why Wataru lied to him, Wataru played dumb. After Kengo made it apparent that he knew of his condition, he then stormed out, claiming that their friendship has come to an end.

The next day after talking with Nago, Shizuka brought Wataru all the way to a Rakugo theater. After being handed tickets and Shizuka apologizing to Mio for something, the both entered the theater. A while into the show, Wataru heard the call of the Bloody Rose. Making up that he had to use the restroom, he left to where the Fangire was attacking.

Arriving on the scene, Wataru noticed Megumi unconscious and Nago overwhelmed with fighting the Warthog Fangire and Rook. Transforming, Wataru went straight for Rook, taking him off of Nago's hands. Unfortunately not faring well against him, they then summoned Tatsulot and transformed into Emperor Form. This time squaring off on equal ground, the two scuffled until Wataru decided to perform the Emperor Moon Break. But as he was preparing the move, Rook unprovokingly let out a maniacal laugh. Confused by it, Wataru hesitated, but unfortunately his hesitation allowed Rook to escape. As he transformed back to his normal self, Tatsulot and Kivat comented on Rook's odd actions, Nago spoke out to Wataru.

Later on as they sat in Mald'amour, Nago expressed his surprise in Wataru being Kiva. After Wataru apologized for not telling him, Nago expressed that he wanted Wataru under his wing. Feeling reasured that if he taught him correctly he wouldn't have any worries. After Wataru pointed out that Kengo was already under Nago's tutelage, Nago claimed that he wasn't interested in him anymore, and that he never really cared for him in the first place. Unfortunately, Kengo was there in the entrance long enough to hear Nago. After he ran out, claiming that he now had no one to trust, Wataru tried to go after, but was halted by Nago.

Soon after talking to Mio about how the many relationships with his friends seem to disappear, and Mio herself disappearing in a blink of an eye, The Bloody Rose sounded it's call, alerting Wataru to another Fangire attack. As he arrived on the scene, he found Megumi yet again, but this time in Rook's hands. Engaging him, he managed to separate the two. Unfortunately as Rook was still to strong to fight against, Wataru transformed to Emperor Form. As the fight progressed, Wataru's opponent was traded with Nago from Rook to the Warthog Fangire. After further dealing a beating to the Fangire, Wataru finally finished his rematch with the Fangire with an Emperor Moon break.

Foe.png

As Wataru took a moment to regain his composure after his victory, he was suddenly hit with a surprise drop kick from behind. After standing to face his new adversary, he decided to make the first move. Unfortunately this proved futile as this new Fangire was able to control small floating orbs to of which it used as a shield. After it had them cluster around him and then bludgeoned him from all sides, the Fangire decided to make an offensive. Seeing it attack, Wataru performed a last ditch roundhouse Emperor Moon Break, wounding the Fangire. After being knocked off his feet again, the Fangire vanished. As he decided to go home for the time being, Wataru noticed Mio along the way, passed out and bleeding.

After taking her to his home he attempted to assist in medical treatment. However as he attempted to apply some gauze after applying a bandaged to her arm, Wataru flinched in pain. Pulling up his sleeve, revealing a large bruise, Mio expressed concern and asked how he got it. After making up the excuse of saying that he got it from falling off a bike, they then proceeded to patch one another up.

Later in the day Nago asked Wataru to speak with him. After Nago asked Wataru as to why he became a Bounty Hunter, with Wataru Feeblishly answering to collect buttons, Nago pointed to a man elsewhere in the cafe. After being shown a notification of that he was wanted by the authorities for robbery, Nago told Wataru to apprehend him as apart of training. As he approached the wanted man, he politely asked if he was the robber. After the man ran away and Nago telling him to go after him, Wataru chased him into a playground. Slowing the man down by throwing his shoe at him, Wataru tired to physically apprehend him, but unfortunately suffered a short beating until another stranger showed up. As stranger tried to reason with the suspect, claiming that playgrounds are not a place for violence, the stranger was only met with a short beating. After giving off a cold stare and catching the vagrant's fist, the man fled in fear. As he picked up and handed over Wataru's shoe to him, the stranger seemed to recognize Wataru. After demonstrating on how he claimed they use to make small sand piles with each other, Wataru then recognized him as his childhood friend, Nobori Taiga.

As he met Taiga again at Mald'amour, their conversation was interrupted with the arrival of Megumi. As she proclaimed that she'd treat them she recommended an omelet to Taiga. After Taiga declined the offer and Megumi stating that young guys should live a bit more loose, he claimed that he refrained from eating them. As Megumi commented that it was a might bit odd and that it'd make things difficult during dates, she prompted herself to ask him if he had a girlfriend. After she jokingly claimed that she'd be his if he didn't have one, he expressed that he wasn't interested. Shortly apologizing for sounding rude, Taiga went on to claim that he was already engaged to be married. As Wataru expressed his happiness for his old friend, Taiga inquired about Wataru's status of relationships, which Wataru found a little embarrassed to let out.

Moose.png

After hearing the call from the Bloody Rose, Wataru raced into action. Unfortunately arriving to late to save the victim, Wataru transformed and engaged the Moose Fangire. As the battle went on, the Fangire proved to be considerably powerful. Realizing the danger, Wataru and Kivat summoned Tatsulot. Transforming to Emperor Form, the fight evened out. As the fight seemed to be at a draw, despite the Moose's firepower, it retreated. After Wataru attempted to chase, but couldn't locate it, he ran into Mio (after reverting to his true form). Noticing she wasn't looking well, Wataru decided to talk to her out of concern. As she started talking about her lesser qualities. After quieting her down, Wataru reassured her that he was there for her, claiming that he was becoming stronger to protect her.

The next day, Wataru went to meet up with Taiga at his company. After Wataru expressed how impressed at what his friend has been able to amass since they last met, Taiga invited him to have lunch with he and his finace. Not wanting to intrude, Wataru turned down the offer. But as Taiga insisted that he wanted Wataru to meet her, he obliged. After they arrived and waited for his fiance, Wataru took a short break in the bathroom. When he came back, he finally came face to face with Taiga's fiance, who unfortunately turned out to be none other than Mio. As they both stared at each other, shocked, they soon snapped out of it, each pretending that they've just met one another for the first time.

Later that day while home, Mio had apparently come over to talk to Wataru. After awkwardly sitting silent across from another for a few moments, Mio spoke first, claiming that she and Taiga were arranged to be married, but Wataru didn't believe it. As Mio insisted that it wasn't as it seemed, Shizuka came storming down, forcing her to get out. As Wataru tried to stop her, Nago came from the bathroom, telling him to not be distracted by women as he has the higher duty of being Kiva.

The next day as Wataru sat in Mald'amour alone, Taiga walked in immediately noticing his depression. After Taiga inquired as to what was wrong, Nago seemingly popped up explaining that someone Wataru was interested in was involved with someone else. As Taiga didn't like the sound of this, proclaiming that there was no one better than Wataru and that he wanted to help him, Wataru passed.

Later on as he pondered to himself back home, the Bloody Rose sounded the call for battle. But as Wataru was too depressed to care, Kivat literally dragged him to the site of the Fangire attack. Noticing that it was the Moose Fangire from before beating on the Tortoise Fangire, Wataru transformed and attacked. After yet again being overpowered by the Fangire, Wataru called for Tatsulot and the Dogga Hammer. After delivering a short beating to the Fangire, Wataru performed the Emperor Thunder Slap, destroying it.

Sometime later as Wataru applied icing on a small cake, Kivat flew down curious as to what he was all for. After claiming that it was for his Broken Heart party, Wataru proclaimed that it was one step closer to being a better person. As Kivat went on recalling that Mio was really interested in Wataru. Wataru claimed that he believed she said it so that is feelings weren't hurt, so he could put it behind him.

Later on at Mald'amour, as the small celebration started, Nago congratulated Wataru for putting what he believed to be an unnecessary distraction out of the way, thus leaving him to focus on being Kiva. Soon after, Taiga walked in curious about the whole event. As Nago informed Taiga of the goings on, he immediately expressed his displeasure with the situation, believing that the woman Wataru was interested in was too blind to see how he really felt. But soon enough Taiga had Wataru tag along whith he and Mio to some time at a local amusement park. After going on a spinning teacup ride with Mio, discussing their common affection for Taiga, Wataru, Taiga and Mio were then witnesses to a hostage situation. As Nago arrived on the scene to apprehend the criminal, the armed perpetrator threatened to harm his captive. After Nago tricked him into letting his guard down and was unfortunately beaten down, a stranger appeared. After he took the perpetrator down in one blow and kicked Nago twice, Wataru and Nago then recognized the mysterious individual to be none other than Kengo.

After feeling depressed over Kengo coldly rejecting Wataru's friendly concern and The Bloody Rose breaking because out of frustration due his constant depression, Wataru sat to himself ina local park, quietly apologizing to his father until a tall thin stranger appeared before him. After asking if he needed something, the stranger then politely asked how Wataru came into possession of Kiva and who his parents were. After wondering how he knew of Kiva, the stranger stood up and decided to beat the answer out of Wataru. After being roughed up for a bit, the stranger pinned him down and revealed himself to be the Swallowtail Fangire, still demanding an answer. Fortunately, Nago arrived and shot the Fangire off of Wataru, giving him the opportunity to transform into Kiva. Engaging the Fangire, Wataru found himself a bit outclassed by the Fangire, but luckily Kivat had called for Tatsulot to turn the tables with Emperor Form. After throwing down further with the Fangire, Wataru noticed Nago was losing to another Fangire. Finding a quick solution, Wataru threw the Swallowtail Fangire at the Horsefly Fangire, saving Nago. As Wataru performed his Emperor Moon Break, the Swallowtail vanished into thin air just before the mighty kick could make contact. With the Horsefly gone as well, Wataru then assisted Nago in taking him to get help with his injuries.

Sometime later, after completing the repairs for the Bloody Rose, Wataru decided to play it. After going through a few notes, Wataru noticed something, believing it to be incomplete. After examining the Bloody Rose, unsure of what to do, Wataru was then soon visited by a mysterious man wearing a tuxedo. After pointing out that the man was trespassing, Wataru requested the man's identity. As the stranger proclaimed that he was a former associate of his father, he then asked Wataru if he wanted to know what it was that was missing from the Bloody Rose. After pausing for a moment, the stranger then claimed it was a wish. When his father had completed the Bloody Rose, he instilled a wish within it.

After heading to Mald'amour at Taiga's request, trying to think of what the wish his father put into the Bloody Rose, Taiga soon arrived. As he believed he needed help from Wataru, Taiga presented two gifts he intended to give to Mio. Unable to decide which he should give, he wanted Wataru's opinion on which she'd like more. Thinking that both gifts were equally nice, Wataru purposed that Taiga just give both of them at once.

Later on as he accompanied Taiga to his and Mio's waiting spot, Taiga openly expressed his hopes of Mio liking her gifts. But as they heard Mio's scream in the distance, both raced to it. As the witnessed the Horsefly Fangire abducting Mio, it disappeared. When Taiga claimed he knew where it was going, Wataru volunteered to help. Taiga believing it was too dangerous for him, Wataru insisted. After reluctantly telling Taiga of his true feelings for Mio, Taiga accepted it and obliged to let him come.

After heading over to a research facility, Wataru purposed that they split up to cover more ground. When he finally found Mio in a lab, he quickly freed Mio of her restraints and tried to distract the Fangire by himself. After having to tell Mio to run Wataru called for Kivat, transforming into Kiva. After taking the fight outside, the Horsefly managed to get the upper hand. When the fight started leveling out between the two, Wataru soon found himself between the jaws of a giant flying snake. After bing hit around the giant serpent, forced into revering to his true form, Wataru lost consciousness.

Regaining consciousness after Tatsulot brought him the Bloody Rose, Wataru briefly thought back to the stranger's words about the Bloody Rose needing a wish to be complete. Deciding to play right in the middle of battle, Wataru then decided to wish that he'd find his own tune and become stronger so that he can have everyone enjoy it. After doing so, Kivat ant Tatsulot immediately latched themselves to Wataru, immediately transforming into Emperor Form, and then a new form. Transforming into a large bat like creature, Wataru engaged in aerial combat with the giant serpent, and quickly destroyed it.

Sometime later as Wtaru was called to meet Taiga again, Taiga came up to Wataru in need of his help again. After Taiga claimed that he suspected that Mio was interested in someone else, he asked if Wataru had any leads or suspicions of who it could be. After Wataru claimed that he didn't, afraid of possibly betraying Taiga, Taiga pleaded to Wataru that they find out together.

After finding Mio sitting at an outdoor cafe, they decided to observe from the nearby shrubs. Soon witnessing that Kengo had arrived and stat down to speak with her, Wataru openly pondered if it was Kengo she was interested in. As Taiga demanded to know who Kengo was, making a small ruckus, Wataru had to quiet him down in order to maintain their observations. After following her as they got up for a walk, the two decided to make themselves apparent as Kengo seemed to have been embracing Mio against her will. When it seemed the situation between Taiga and Kengo were getting to heated, Wataru stepped in, preventing a possible fight. After Taiga had taken Mio and left, Kengo outright decked Wataru before proclaiming that he didn't want Wataru sticking his nose in his business.

TheSwordandTheWall.png

As Wataru made his way while rubbing the spot where Kengo had struck him, Wataru was approached by the stranger from before that helped him with the Bloody Rose, this time requesting his help. After he had apparently been followed by Doran and made their way into it. The man brought him to a wall with a sword protruding from it. As the stranger claimed the sword being the Zanvat sword, and that it chooses it's owner, he proposed that Wataru might be a canidate. After getting some encouragement from tow other strangers who dwelled the innards of Doran, Wataru reached for the weapon. Unfortunately, despite what the other three individuals believed, Wataru was unable to remove the Zanvat sword from the wall.

After exiting Doran and continuing on his way, Wataru ran into Mio. However before they could have a word with one another, Mio was ambushed by the Rat Fangire. After the Fangire had knocked her unconscious, Wataru transformed and attacked. After fighting the Fangire hand to hand and when it made use of weapons, Wataru transformed into Emperor Form and Quickly did away with the Fangire. Unfortunately just as Wataru was making his way back, he was attacked by another Rat and was soon joined by a second. Throwing down with the Rat Fangires for a while, they were then joined by a new opponent who after repelling the Rat Fangires, attacked Wataru. After being beaten, thrown around and shot by this new opponent, Wataru managed to escape.

After heading back to Mio to see if she was alright, she came to and tried to confess to Wataru about something. After encouraging her to say it, she confessed that it was Wataru who she was interested in. However not believing it, Wataru told her not to joke around, but she stayed adamant. When she asked how Wataru felt about her, he was left without words. After Mio apologized for asking so suddenly, she told him that he didn't have to answer right away.

The next day while at Mald'amour, Taiga presented Wataru with an invitation to his and Mio's wedding. As Taiga recalled Wataru's confessing his feeling for Mio, he claimed that wining her over was futile. After saying that there were things in the world that Wataru couldn't prevent or control, Taiga told him to give up. Yet despite what Taiga said, Wataru stated that since she was the first person he had special feelings for, he couldn't give up. After a seconds pause, Wataru's face was swiftly met with the back of Taiga's hand. Before he left, Taiga claimed that he was weak for not fighting back, thus making him believe that Wataru was unable to protect Mio.

Later in the day while he was on his way to meet with Mio, he noticed another Rat Fangire about to sneak up on her. Quickly transforming, he dragged the Fangire away without her noticing. After trying to interrogate the Fangire as to why he was after Mio, finding out that the Fangire can duplicate himself and being beaten down, the rats then turned back to their old target. Noticing this, Wataru followed. As he tried to fight the three on his own, unable to transform in front of Mio, he told her to run. Despite all his efforts, even after proclaiming his true feelings for Mio, Wataru was beaten down unconscious.

After coming to, he noticed the man from Doran standing over him, offering him another chance to gain power. After arriving in Doran, standing in front of the Zanvat Sword, the stranger told Wataru that he needed to wish it from deep inside to pull the sword out. After succeeding in doing so, proclaiming his desire to protect Mio, the sword's great power took him over. Sending him into a ravaged blood lust, he started attacking the other three. After they combined into a golden bat creature and attached themselves to the blade to inhibit the sword's power and influence, Wataru marveled at the amount of power he felt the sword gave off after he snapped out of the sword's invoked rage.

Zanvat.png

Leaving Doran, now armed with the Zanvat Sword, Wataru went to find the Rat Fangires. As he found them, he immediately transformed into Emperor Form. After easily taking out a small number of them each with one respective strike from the sword, A larger number of Rats were charging at him all at once. Performing the Zanvat Final Slash attack, he easily destroyed the group of Rat Fangires. As he then noticed his opponent he retreated from before was there as well, the two then engaged one another. However with the help of the Zanvat Sword, Wataru was easily able to push him back. As Wataru was about to deliver the finishing blow, Mio appeared between them. At first confused to see her there, she then revealed herself to be the Pearlshell Fangire from before. After she hit him back, he reverted to his true form, revealing himself as Kiva. Leaving Mio shocked by this, the person whom Mio was protecting then revealed himself to be Taiga. In disbelief of it all, Wataru fled the scene and eventually passed out from the shock.

After waking up in his own bed, Wataru noticed the stranger from Doran sitting above him. After the stranger inquired on Wataru's condition, Wataru claimed to have had an odd dream about Mio and Taiga being Fangires. However the stranger then claimed that it wasn't, and tried to prove so by pointing out Wataru's bruises and cuts, but Wataru chose not to believe him. After claiming that they were because he fell down the stairs, the stranger slapped him across the face. After telling him to not run away from his problems and face reality, the stranger left.

Sometime later, Wataru came across Mio in their old meeting spot. After he claimed that he wanted to see her, Mio implied that there was no point anymore. With her being a Fangire and Wataru as Kiva, it was all never meant to be to begin with. After she asked what they were supposed to do, Taiga appeared, claiming that there was one if they followed him.

After walking through a thick forest, the three then came across a cave. As Wataru asked what it was, Taiga told him to enter, claiming that someone important was inside. Walking some ways in, Wataru came upon a dark figure over a small campfire. After looking at it for a while, Wataru seemingly recognized her as his mother and shortly then ran to embrace her. After asking where she was all those years she was gone and why she never came to see him, she pushed him away, telling him that he shouldn't be near her. Soon enough, Taiga walked in asking if they were done conversing, and then referred to her as mother as well. As Wataru's confusion was apparent, Taiga then claimed that he and Wataru were siblings. After asking her if it was true, Taiga explained that she used to be the former Fangire Queen. As he then claimed that Wataru had the blood of a Fangire, and that Taiga himself was a Fangire, the Mantis Fangire then appeared. As he seemingly summoned previously vanquished Fangires and then vanished, Taiga tried to order them to withdraw, but was for naught. After realizing that there was no point in words, Wataru and Taiga each transformed and engaged the rouge Fangires. As the fighting continued, Wataru transformed int Emperor Form and summoned the Zanvat Sword. After making quick work of the resurrected Moose and Cicada Fangires, Wataru easily destroyed them with a Final Zanvat Slash.

Later that day as Wataru pondered to himself as to why his mother had never told him of his true heritage, unsure of how to live with himself, Maya then appeared behind him. Surprised to see his mother in his home, Maya spoke to him. Saying that it didn't matter what he was, be it Fangire or Human. All that mattered is that he had the blood of Otoya in him. As she claimed that he was always straightforward and was true to himself, she proclaimed that was what she wanted of Wataru to be, and then one day even more all before vanishing into thin air.

With this in mind, Wataru called Nago to speak with him. As they took their conversation to Mald'amour, Wataru claimed that he wished to reveal himself to the Blue Sky Org. As this greatly excited Nago, he proclaimed that he would assist him in making the announcement.

TheTruth.png

Sure enough the next day, Wataru found himself in a traditional Japanese inn along with Nago, Kengo, Megumi, and their commanding officer, Shima. As he stood up, Wataru went straight to the point and proclaimed that he was Kiva. As not a one of them believed Wataru, Nago backed him up it left everyone in the room speechless. As he apologized for keeping the truth from everyone, Nago continued to back him up by claiming that with a kind and caring individual such as Wataru as Kiva, there was nothing to fear. As Nago was about to make a toast to Wataru as Kiva, Wataru then claimed that he had one last thing to say. As Shima encouraged Wataru to let it out, Wataru did just that and proclaimed that he was a Half-Fangire. With almost everyone believing it was a joke, Shima on the otherhand believed it, claiming that he would have to be such since no ordinary kind of human could be Kiva. With this, the remainder of the room was left in shock.

Later on as Wataru walked with Shima, he wished to know something of Wataru. When Shima asked for the name of Wataru's father, Wataru stated that it was Kurenai Otoya. After Shima paused in his tracks for a second, he was amused and claimed that it really was Destiny's Play. When Wataru inquired if Shima knew Otoya, Shima claimed that he did as Otoya was once an agent under the Blue Sky Org. Surpirsed by this, Wataru aksed what kind of person he was like. When Shima recalled that Otoya was quite the eccentric yet an honest man, he asked what Wataru wanted to do from then on. As Wataru claimed he wanted to act as the bridge between the Humans and the Fangires, Shima asked if he really thought it could be done. Claiming that he belived it could, Shima then motioned to shake his hand, greatly exciting Wataru when he proclaimed that he'd cooperate.

Much later that day as Wataru made his way down town, he ran into Taiga. As he expressed how odd it felt to talk to Taiga since they know knew they're brothers, Taiga claimed he didn't mind since it all happened so sudden. As they stopped walking, Taiga unprovokingly asked Wataru to become a Fangire, claiming that Humans were like domesticated animals, their food. After Taiga had embraced Wataru, claiming that he didn't wish to live alone anymore and truly wanted Wataru to be with him as a brother, Wataru pushed him away, claiming that Humans weren't food, and that he wanted to the species to work together in the future. But as Taiga found it amusing enough to laugh about, he claimed that such a goal was futile.

Walking the same way later that night, Wataru then ran into Mio. As she imedatly ran up to him and embraced him, Wataru asked what the matter was. As she proclaimed how happy she was that Wataru was a Fangire like her, she then asked that he do something for her. Inquiring as to what it was, Mio requested that he kill Taiga. As she claimed that if Wataru would kill Taiga, they'd be able to be together, Wataru was shocked at what he was hearing out of Mio and ran off home.

The Next day, Nago had called for Wataru to speak with him. As he claimed that he was relieved when he found out about Wataru being Kiva, but his being a Half-Fangire is a different story, especially with the Blue Sky org higher-ups. As he expressed that he hoped it was all a misunderstanding, Nago proclaimed that should Wataru ever become Kiva again, he'd have to kill Wataru. Stating that he was ordered to do so and couldn't avoid it this time.

Later in the day after hearing the Bloody Rose's call, Wataru raced to the scene only to find his mother being attacked by the Mantis Fangire and three other Fangires. After engaging the fangires and helping his mother escape, Wataru transformed into Emperor Form and summoned the Zanvat sword. Performing the Final Zanvat Slash and finishing off the Fangire lackeys, Wataru then turned his attention to the Mantis. As the Fangire fled back to his coffin, Watar quickly followed and caught him just as he reached it. However before he could use it, Wataru threw the Zanvat at the Mantis, impaling him and his coffin, destroying them both.

FangireWakeUp.png

Unfortunately as that fight had finished, Wataru soon noticed Kengo swinging down from a rope line, proclaiming his intention to kill Wataru. After he activated IXA, he attacked Wataru. A while after taking numerous hits but not attacking Kengo, he soon found himself being protected by the tall man who interrogated him from before. After he had knocked down Kengo, Taiga appeared as well. As he tried to point out that their attacking him was what he got in return for protecting the Humans, he then directed the man, Bishop, to do something. As he placed his hand on Wataru's chest, Bishop called forth the dormant Fangire side within Wataru to come forth. In doing so, Wataru was sent into another bloodthirsty rage and attacked Megumi and Nago who had apparently been positioned nearby. Before he could nearly impale her, Nago pushed him away, but as he was about to strike Nago, he called out to Wataru, instantly snapping him out of his rage. Confused over what just happened, he finally realized what he had just done as Kengo shouted out to him, refering to him as a Fangire. And with that realization, Wataru fled in shame.

Sometime later, after locking himself inside his home, even ignoring Shizuka and Nago's calling for him from outside and even the Bloody Rose. As he received a call from Nago on his phone, Wataru tossed it away. But as Kivat answered the phone anyways, it turned out to be Nago calling for Wataru to help Kengo. Deciding to heed the call one last time, Wataru set out to the battle field. After helping Kengo and fending off Bishop, Wataru told Nago that due to the latent Fangire side within him, he would hence forth cease being Kiva and appear in public out of fear of hurting others. Claiming that he appreciated everything Nago had done for him until then, Wataru asked him also to apologize to Megumi for him as well.

Sometime later after locking Kivat and Tatsulot in a cage and storing the Bloody Rose away, Wataru received a visit from Mio as she seemingly appeared in his room. As he followed her down stairs, he saw a spread of food on his table. Mio saying that she had made it all, asked hm to sit and try it. After doing so, stating that he thought it was good, Mio asked him when he was going to kill Taiga and become King. Not wanting anything to do with such a plot, Wataru politely asked that Mio go home.

Later on as he continued making a violin, Wataru heard a somewhat familiar noise. Peeking outside his door, he saw that it was Kengo trying to play the guitar again. Begging him to talk, Wataru allowed him and Nago into his home. As they settled, Wataru asked Nago that should he ever get out of control ever again that Nago kill him before he hurt anyone. As Nago complied, Kengo tried to appologize to Wataru for how he had acted before. As he claimed that he had no real exceptional skill as a musician, that when he found out he couldn't play he was relieved from the pressure. Claiming that he thought straying from the path and becoming a fighter was betraying how he felt, he then proclaimed that hating Wataru was the real betrayal. As he said that he could live as a human even with his Fangire side, and asked to be friends once again. Wataru, although grateful, declined. Believing that because of what he was, he wasn't meant to be amongst either Fangire or Human, so he couldn't have friends.

Afterwards telling the same thing to Taiga as he came along, Taiga thought it was all foolishness. As he tried to tell Wataru that he was a Fangire, he advised him as the older brother to discard his humanity and be amongst the Fangires. If not for his happiness than for their mother's, but Wataru wouldn't have any of it.

Later, after having a dream or a vision (possibly both) of his mother, Wataru realized that be it Fangires or Humans, Wataru decided to do from then on what he believed was the right thing to do. And after hearing the Bloody Rose's call, Wataru immediately freed Kivat and Tatsulot and arrived on the scene. As he was about to face the Seamoon Fangire, Taiga appeared, inquiring as to what he was up to. As he though Wataru sided with the Humans, Wataru claimed that he wanted to be neither, but himself only. and with that, he transformed into Emepror Form.

GiantMonster.png

After roughing the Seamoon up a bit, Taiga to seemingly transformed and summoned a swarm of large flying creatures, destroying the Seamoon in the process. After dodging the energy beams the creatures fired, Wataru immediately summoned the Zanvat sword and made quick work of the lesser monsters and finished off the largest one with the Final Zanvat Slash. As the smoke cleared, Taiga stood by. However as he seemed to be ready to fight, Taiga de-transformed and asked why Wataru fought against him. claiming that Wataru's rightful path was with the Fangires and him. However Wataru didn't see it that way and claimed that it didn't matter if they were Fangire or Human. Claiming that what was important was what was inside. After Wataru stated that he's choosing to live the way he believed was right, Taiga claimed that if they continue in this manner, then they'd eventually have to fight one another. As Wataru claimed he didn't want to fight his brother, Taiga as well hoped for the same, and left.

Later on, as he thought over the situation at Mald'amour. Wataru soon found himself surrounded by Nago, Megumi and Kengo, trying to cheer him up with sweets. As they encouraged him to eat what the presented to him, saying it'd make him feel better, Wataru apologized to Kengo about what he said last time they spoke to one another. As he asked if they could be friends again, Kengo claimed that he thought nothing of what happened before and that they were already friends. After Kido joined in the moment, Shima then presented Wataru with a rice omelet, claiming that it was from him to Wataru as a Human. But if he was a Fangire, he'd kill Wataru. With that, Wataru proceeded to eat it.

Unfortunately, later in the day after Shima had been attacked by a Fangire, Wataru stood by him in the hospital. As he started to regain consciousness, Wataru moved to his side. Shima openly believing that he was dying, confessed that if Taige truly hates Humans, then it's his fault. After asking him to help Taiga, Shima passed out. Thinking otherwise, Wataru tried to call to Shima, but Taiga then appeared, saying that Shima was only un conscious. As he walked in, Taiga requested that Shima be turned over to his care, confident that he could help him. After looking back at the man, Wataru turned to Taiga and asked him to do so.

The next day, as Nago and Megumi wondered where Shima had gone, with Wataru not admitting that he knew, Shima then suddenly walked through Mald'amour's door, seemingly as healthy as ever. Even saying he was just after everyone expressed their concern for his disappearance. As he made his way to order food, the three wondered if they simply dreamt Shima being injured at all.

Later on, Wataru went to Taiga to thank him for whatever it was he did to bring Shima back on his feet. However Taiga wished Wataru to show his gratitude through his actions, rather than words. Wataru confused as to what his brother meant, Taiga then frankly asked that Wataru work under him. Claiming that they're much more suitable, Taiga once again implored that Wataru join the Fangires. However as Wataru declined, just as before, Taiga was lenient. After saying that if Wataru changes his mind, all he has to do is let him know. However Taiga's patience was wearing thin, and claimed that the next time would be the last.

As the day progressed, Wataru was alerted to the presence of the Sungrazer Fangire. Finding him at an abandoned mill, Wataru transformed and attacked. After roughing him up some, Taiga appeared, wanting to know what path Wataru had most definitely chosen, the Humans, or beside Taiga with the Fangires. After saying that he chose his own path, Taiga claimed he had had enough and would make him submit to the Fangires by force, and transformed. After being thrown around, Taiga begain to question whether Wataru was seriously fighting. Saying that he didn't want to fight and harm his brother, Taiga de-transformed and said that he'd make him want to fight, and left.

Sometime later, after watching Shima down seven plates of pasta in a row, Kido pointed out how oddly Shima had been acting as of late. As Nago speculated that it was because of failing to catch the Sungrazer (as it seemed to be keen on attacking him), he, along with Megumi, volunteered to become his bodyguards. However, Shima had Wataru in mind as a body guard. Thinking that it was an issue of distrust, Nago demanded to know why Shima chose Wataru over him.

Later on, as Wataru Nago and Megumi watched over Shima in a local park, they commented on how despite his being targeted by the Fangires, he still goes about his everyday business as if there's nothing to be concerned about. However, after he inexplicably popped a stray soccer ball in mid air as it hit him, he ran away as though he were in pain. Chasing after him, they eventually came onto the Sungrazer trying to feed on some pedestrians. As Nago took it upon himself to take are of the Fangire, he activated IXA and attacked it. After he threw the Fangire behind a tree, the group then found Shima in it's place. Confused, all they did was watch as Shima ran, screaming.

FriendBrotherandKing.png

Afraid of the possibility, Wataru went and spoke to Taiga. As they spoke, Taiga tried to play dumb, saying he didn't know what Wataru was talking about. With Wataru once again asking, Taiga claimed that he did just as he promised, he cured Shima of his injuries. Confessing that he gave Shima the power of a Fangire by putting one him him, Shima then appeared, asking why. Claiming that he wanted to teach Shima a lesson on what it was to be a Fangire, Wataru expressed his dislike for Taiga's actions. However Taiga tried to justify what he had done by claiming that it was for the sake of protecting the Fangires. Just as the Humans do for themselves, he, as King, must do for his own race.

The next day, Shima called for Wataru and spoke with him. Sitting on a bench, Shima tried to apologize to Wataru for the may he had been treating him. Proclaiming that he originally was afraid of Wataru's Fangire half, he then saw him differently. Fearing the sudden new power that he was in possession of, and was envious of Wataru's keeping his Fangire side in check. However, he admitted that there was apart of him that wants to embrace what was forced into him.

Unfortunately, later in the day, Wataru tried to chase Shima in the hopes of trying to stop him for doing something terrible. Unfortunately, just as he caught up, Shima threw him away, causing him to lose consciousness when he hit the ground. Waking up, Wataru arrived to a fight between Shima and Taiga too late as Shima exploded just as he got there. Knowing Taiga was responsible, he asked why he did it. Not really caring much, Taiga told him that Shima was just a Human, therefore there wasn't any need to get worked up over. Not pleased with how Taiga was acting, Wataru transformed into Kiva, enraged over Shima's death.

As the fight went on, the tide of battle seemed to have been in Wataru's favor. After managing to get Taiga on his knees, Wataru readied to finish him off with an Emperor Moon Break. However, in mid air, Mio jumped in the way, protecting Taiga. Unable to stop, the attack hit Mio instead, sending her over the cliff. Searching for her at the foot, Wataru found her laying on the ground. Holding her in his arms, calling but to her, she finally came to. As she pulled out the ring he had bought for her back when they first became close to each other, he slipped it on her finger. Looking up and smiling, she said that she was happy before she closed her eyes, began to crack, and shattered into hundreds of pieces of glass.

Distraught with Mio's death, Wataru wandered aimlessly for a short while until Taiga had found him. After Taiga had grabbed him by the throat, asking why he killed Mio, a small blast seperated the two. After finding himself in Doran, he was being carried by the the man from before, claiming that had he not intervened, Wataru would've been dead. As he claimed that there was only one man who could help Wataru, he claimed that he would send Wataru twenty-two year in the past. Stopping in front of a door, Wataru soon found himself pulled through the door, into a bright light.

Arriving in 1986, Wataru decided that to use time to his advantage in the hopes of saving Mio's life: by negating his own existence, preventing himself from ever being born. Seeking out his father, Otoya, Wataru eventually found him in the hospital. As he tried to check himself out, Wataru walked into the room, impersonating a doctor, telling him that he wasn't well enough to leave. he Forcing Otoya back into bed, insisting that he needed to stay, Otoya inquired as to who Wataru was as he noticed he wasn't the regular doctor. After saying that he was new and told Otoya that he needed to remain in the hospital for at least a year, Otoya unfortunately made his way out anyway.

As that plan didn't quite work out, Wataru decided to use the same approach and disguised himself as a fortune teller. Placing himself somewhere he knew Otoya would pass by, he eventually caught him. As he told Otoya that danger awaited for him, Otoya reveled in the knowledge of such, saying that a little danger was necessary in order to mix thing up a bit in life and keep it fun. Still persistent, Wataru told Otoya that he couldn't meet a woman. As it was apparent that Otoya was displeased with what Wataru was saying, claiming that his life can't be changed even with fortune telling, it was then Otoya saw through Wataru's ruse. Pulling of Wataru's wig anf fake goatee, he recognized him from the hospital. With that, Wataru bolted.

Seeing that trying to trick his father wouldn't work, Wataru decided to go to those around him. Choosing to go to Otoya's female friend, Wataru approached her in a walkway tunnel and tried to tell her to not give up on Otoya's affections. As she tried to walk away from him, he claimed that she and Otoya were supposed to be with one another. Telling her to have more faith in herself, he pleaded with to her to try and patch things up with Otoya.

Later on, whilst he sat at another table at an outdoor cafe while Otoya arrived to speak with the woman, he silently cheered her on. However, just as things seemed to be going right, the gift that she had mentioned she wanted to give was a goodbye.

Finding her later, Wataru insisted that what she was doing was wrong, and that she needed to make Otoya hers once again. But as it seemed to be fruitless, Wataru dragged her along to where both Otoya and Maya were at the time. As he claimed that they couldn't be with one another, he confessed that he was their son, and that he wasn't supposed to be born. With the both of them skeptical, Wataru once again begged them to not meet with one another any more. As Otoya speculated that it was all just a trick set up by the Fangires, Wataru insisted that if he wasn't born then Mio wouldn't die. Still thinking it was a lie, Otoya asked him why he was already grown up if he was his son. Claiming that he was from twenty-two years from then, he then tried to back his claim by showing him the button Maya gave him when he was little. Not believing it, Otoya punched Wataru unconscious.

Waking up, he found himself in a gazebo near windmills. As the woman, Yuri, asked him if he was alright, she then asked him why he said what he did earlier. Claiming that what he said was true, that he came back to prevent Mio from dying, he once again set out to prevent them from convincing him.

Heading over to his home, Wataru waited when Otoya arrived. Asked how he got in, Wataru claimed that he would be living there in the future, holding the same exact key that Otoya was holding, only a bit more eroded. Annoyed, Otoya tried to prove that he was not Wataru's father by showing him a trick that supposedly only those of the Kurenai lineage could do: standing and walking on the top side of their toes. And just like he said, only a Kurenai could do so as Wataru then displayed this ability, much to Otoya's unwanted surprise. As they walked on their toes for a bit, Wataru noticed a familiar violin case. Opening it and seeing the Bloody Rose, he marveled that it's shine was exactly the same as how he knew it. As Otoya asked how he knew what it was called, Wataru proclaimed that it was the violin Otoya made and entrusted a wish to. After that, Otoya finally asked for Wataru's name.

As it seemed that Otoya finally believed him, Wataru and Otoya found themselves bathing with one another. As Otoya thought it must've been a while for him to bathe with his father, only for Wataru to state that it was, in fact, the first time, he insisted that he didn't come to the past to play around. Asking a favor from Otoya, he asked that he not see Maya again. But it seemed that Otoya wasn't interested in listening to any of that.

Later on, as Wataru sat at a park and thought to himself, he was approached by Maya. As she claimed that she could feel the mix between Human and Fangire in him, it seemed she was more willing to believe that Wataru was who he said. Soon after, they were then met with the Poler Bear Fangire. Standing to protect his mother, Wataru soon found himself hit away from the monster. As Wataru got up to see the Fangire strangling Maya, he soon noticed a portal open in the sky. As Kivat and Tatsulot then emerged from the portal. As they managed to shake the Fangire off of Maya, Wataru then transformed into Kiva and fought off the Fangire.

As the day progressed, Wataru found Otoya on his way to a date with Maya. As Wataru implored that Otoya not follow through with his plans, Otoya wouldn't have any of it. Claiming that even though Wataru may be his son, intentionally restraining his freedom will not be tolerated. Desperate, Wataru took the Bloody Rose from Otoya and ran. But as Otoya caught up and tried to wrestle the violin from Wataru they were eventually shot at by the Poler Bear Fangire. Transforming straight to Emperor Form, Wataru did battle once again with the Fangire. However, overwhelmed by the Fangire's speed, Wataru then found himself aided in battle with Otoya, using the IXA System. As they pushed the Fangire back together, both then readied their respective finishers and destroyed the Fangire together. Despite their joining forces, Wataru proclaimed that he still wwouldn't let Otoya see Maya. Otoya seemingly taking that as a challenge, the two did battle. However as Wataru seemed that he didn't want to kill Otoya, he eventually lost the scuffle. But as Otoya was about to make his way off, someone appeared before them. As the stranger seemed to be aware that Wataru was from the future, and knew that he intended to change it, the man recomended a solution to Wataru's predicament: To kill Otoya. As Otoya appeared to be not to fond of the stranger's words, it was then that the stranger took hold of another Kivat, and transformed into Kiva, the past's Kiva. As the stranger somehow managed to pull Otoya to him and charged him with green bolts of energy, Wataru rushed to the aid of his father and performed an Emperor Moon Break. After the kick landed it's target and sent the past Kiva back, the stranger rose to his feet. After Wataru picked otoya up, the stranger immediately, in a fit of rage over Wataru's existence, stripped himself of Kiva and revealed himself to be the Bat Fangire. As he blasted the both of them with a large beam of dark energy, Wataru used the following explosion to escape with Otoya.

As they made their way, Otoya stated that this would be where they'd part for the time being as he made it apparent that he still intended to see Maya. As he claimed that men who were late for dates were worthless, Wataru still tried to stop him. But as it seemed that Otoya motioned to reason with him, he instead spanked Wataru, went into a small fit of laughter and went on his way.

Following Otoya, Wataru eventually arrived at a lockal sports stadium as he met with Maya. Claiming that Otoya couldn't meet her, much to Otoya's annoyance, Maya agreed. After she claimed that if she contiued to see Otoya, King, the stranger from before, would kill Taiga. As Otoya claimed that he would rescue Taiga, believing that if Taiga was her son, than he was his as well, Maya claimed it to be impossible. After she stated that King was unbeatable, King's Kivat from before, Kivat Bat II, proposed the idea of Otoya using him. However Maya was against it, stating that if a Human were to become Kiva, they'd die. But as Otoya proclaimed that he couldn't think of any other ideas, Wataru was then asked to help. As she stated that he had the powes of Kiva as well, he might stand a chance at beating King. However Otoya seemed opposed to it, and claimed that he'd rescue Taiga.

Later on, after thinking over things and learning that Kido was running Mald'amour even in the 80s, Wataru walked through town. As he made his way, he ran into King once again, proclaiming his desire to kill Wataru. After both transforming into Kiva, they bagan to fight. However as it bagan to seem apparent that King the superior combatant, Otoya appeared. After he threw Wataru aside, he fired a small blast of dark energy at Otoya. Racing between the blast, taking the hit, Wataru fell to the floor. As it seemed there was no other option, Otoya called for Kivat Sr.'s aid. And with that, Otoya then transformed into Kiva. After they attacked one another, resulting in a small explosion due to the colliding of their attacks, King vanished leaving Otoya and Wataru behind. With Wataru trying to stand on his feet, Otoya turned back into his true form and stumbled to help him up. Recalling what Maya said, Wataru inquired if his father was alright. As Otoya claimed he was no ordinary human, he then tried to walk away. When Wataru asked where he was going, Otoya simply apologized to Wataru and punched him in the gut.

Waking up, Wataru found him once again being looked over by Yuri. Claiming that he wasn't getting anywhere in saving Mio, Yuri then asked if she was someone important. Stating that she was, but died due to his actions, he claimed that was why he came. But then Yuri had then claimed that if he negated his existence by separating his parents, Mio might not have been happy since she would've never met him. As she claimed that Mio probably had no regrets about knowing Wataru, she then claimed that it was the same with Otoya. She didn't like parting with him, but she did not regret it in the very least.

Later on, after being begged to help Otoya after Maya found him, Wataru wondered through Doran looking for Otoya. However as it seemed that Otoya found him instead, he pulled Wataru behind a wall, keeping out of sight from King. As the coast was clear, Otoya asked Wataru if he still believed that he should not exist. As Otoya claimed that the only way for her to live was for Wataru to live strong, he told him to that once he moved on, he'd find her again in some way. Holding a shard of her body in his hand, Wataru then saw a vision of Mio, encouraging him to move on. As she then disappeared, along with the glass shard in his hand, the two Kurenai's were then found by King. As Otoya claimed that he'd take care of King, he told Wataru to find Taiga, despite Wataru's objections. As he found Taiga alone in a large room, Wataru picked him up and left to get out of Doran.

After eventually getting out, Wataru ran to Maya and handed her his infant older brother just as a Sabbat had taken over Doran, firing on them. Finding cover, Wataru then decided to join the battle and transformed straight to Flight Form. After flying through the air onto the roof of Doran, and reverting to Emperor Form, Wataru summoned the Zanvat and proceeded to free Doran of the Sabbat with a Zanvat Final Slash. Unfortunately, as he returned to the ground, Wataru saw that Otoya had fallen to King, even with the powers of Kiva. After he raced to him, calling out to his father, who didn't respond, Wataru attacked King. However, despite anything Wataru tried to do, he couldn't even land a hit on King. Soon enough, even Wataru fell to King's power. As it seemed Otoya wasn't dead after all, King commended him for his will to live. And with that, Otoya revealed and activated IXA.

Following them as they fought, Wataru eventually caught up to the two just as King blasted IXA clean off of Otoya. Transforming straight to Emperor Form, Wataru tried to engage King once again. Yet as King once again showed his superiority in battle, Otoya called for Kivat Sr. again, even though Wataru protested. After he transformed into Kiva, the two of them each tried to attack King. Despite their physical might, each trying to go for the Fangire seemed to be futile. After the both of them had been pushed back, and Wataru realizing that it was Otoya telling him to fight the Fangires through the Bloody Rose, did they start to attack King simultaneously. After pushing King back, Otoya managed to keep King still with the insignia trap. With this, father and son then readied their respective finishers. Landing their kicks on King in unison, it seemed that the battle had ended.

After it seemed King was having a hard time rising to his feet, he let out a blast of energy from his tattoo at Maya, who had been watching, claiming she was his. However, unexpectedly, Taiga had somehow reflected the blast back at King. After he stepped back some due to the force of the blast, King grinned. Just as he reveled in the fact that his son had now ascended to King, he claimed that Taiga would one day kill all of them. And with those words, King shattered into hundreds of pieces.

With Otoya collapsing, Wataru brought him over to somewhere to sit. After setting Otoya down and being commended by his father, Wataru started to notice his hand dispersing. As Otoya deduced that it was time for Wataru to be leaving, he and Maya told him not to worry. After Otoya claimed that he was going to take his life easy form then on, Wataru didn't quite understand how. Claiming that he still didn't know what to do with himself, Otoya asked him if he heard the wish that he put into the Bloody Rose. Claiming that he did, and even put the same wish into it himself, Wataru asked how he was supposed to hear the music of people. After Otoya told him Wataru to think for himself and not depend on him, Wataru then found himself in his home.

Later on, hearing the sound of the Bloody Rose, Wataru remembered the wish they both put into it. Heading out to where it told him to, Wataru arrived just in time as a Warthog Fangire was about to feed on Shizuka. After fending it off, without the use of Kiva, Shizuka asked if he was really Wataru. As she expressed her curiosity as to how he became so strong, Wataru claimed that he wasn't nearly as strong as his father. After she asked if Wataru had met him, he quickly changed the subject by asking if she gained weight. However, as the subject changed worked and ticked her off lightly, Wataru noticed two shady looking men walk by. Putting Shizuka down, Wataru decided to follow them.

After it seemed that his suspicions were true and warded the Fangire threat away from Megumi, Wataru went to Mio's grave just as Taiga was there. Telling Taiga that she died because she was between them, keeping the separated. So that something like what happened with them wouldn't be repeated, Wataru proposed that they finish things. As Taiga claimed that he agreed, he once again claimed that he wanted Wataru as his right hand. However Wataru was adamant on not doing so, claiming that if Taiga saw humans as nothing but food,he would never help him. With their set paths in mind, they each took paces back, both transformed, and attacked.

As their fight took them elsewhere, they were soon separated by a series of explosions and various Fangires holding them in place. As Bishop appeared, he announced his intention of deposing Taiga as King and personally choosing the new one.
