 Kurenai Wataru is main protagonist of Kamen Rider Kiva. A rather shy and timid fellow, Wataru fights as Kiva along with Kivat Bat The III and the Arms Monsters to protect humanity at the command of his Father's violin, The Bloody Rose, despite not knowing why. This has often led him into conflict. Questioning as to why he follows it's commands of protecting the society he has very little connection with rather than just making violins quietly. |

Nobori Taiga
 Nobori Taiga is the modern day King of the Checkmate Four and of the Fangire race. Despite his duty as King to prevent Humanity to progress beyond the Fangire's control he is not above being kind or even friendly with them as evidenced by his relationship to Kurenai Wataru. |

Kivat Bat III
| Kivat Bat III, son of Kivat II, is the last of the Kivat race. With a sharp wit, he tries to often act as a voice of reason and encouragement for Wataru. As well as acting as the medium to allow Wataru to transform into Kiva, he's also able use of the fustles that summon the Arms Monsters that grant Kiva different forms and can awaken the power for Kiva's Darkness Moon break. |

Nomura Shizuka
| Nomura Shizuka is at first Wataru's only friend who seems to support his violin making, even though she's shown no skill or ability to play. Often acting as a sort of motherly figure for him, she takes it upon herself to protect Wataru as he is often shy and has very poor social skills. |

Kurenai Otoya
 Kurenai Otoya is a Casanova-esqe retired professional violinist who prides himself with his skill with the strings and his charm with women. However his occasional overconfidence leads him to his life changing encounter with Aso Yuri and her fight against the Fangires. This sets forth the the chain of events that lead to his Darkness Pledge with the monsters Jiro, Ramon and Riki, the creation of the Bloody Rose and the conception of his son Wataru. |

Aso Yuri

| Shima Mamoru is an original founding member and primary funder of Wonderful Blue Sky Organization. Often visiting Mald'amour and the gym to regularly beat Kido in their body fat percentage game. As Kiva was an enemy in 1980s, he considers the possibility of Kiva as a greater threat than all Fangires in the present. |

Itoya Ryo

This obsession carries on for twenty years and is passed on to Yuri's daughter, Megumi, whom he now intends to "marry" just like he had tried previously with Yuri. |

Jiro
 Jiro is the last surviving member of the Wolfen race. Occasionally dining at Café mald'amour, both for it's coffee and it's customers. After the slaughter of his people, he has charged himself with revenge against the Fangire, Rook, And the task of finding a suitable female to help bring back his race from extinction. To that extent, he has since joined The Wonderful Blue Sky Organization, became the first user of IXA, and made a Darkness Pledge to Kurenai Otoya to be the Arms Monster Garulu, for Otoya's son, Wataru, when needed. |

 Rook (The Lion Fangire) is the first introduced of the Checkmate Four. Bestowed with unbelievable power, strength and skill, but not patience, he constantly uses these to entertain himself with his "time play" games. Because of these games, he has often become the object of revenge for multiple people. After falling in battle due to the IXA System in the 1980s, Rook reemerges in the present only to find himself at a loss of what to do as he has, by now, played every single game variation that he can possibly think of. |
