Character Synopsis

We are first introduced to Bishop as he comes into contact with Suzuki Mio, the new Queen. After telling her that her fate of being Queen is inescapable, he further went on stating that she was indeed the one who was responsible for the recent deaths of those around her. As she was in disbelief, he further proclaimed that it was Queen's job to eliminate those who have become emotionally attached to humans. Having that said, he then presented her with a black envelope with the Queen emblem containing a hit-list of those that needed to be dealt with.
Later in the day, after Mio had learned that Itoya Ryo and the Shark Fangire were the ones who had killed people around her, Bishop decided to speak with her again. As he reminded the duty she is destined for, she then realized that he had set her up. When he told her it was for the sake of bringing forth her power, she expressed her opinion that it wasn't that big a problem that Fangires loved humans. After giving her the ultimatum that if she refused to fulfill her duties, she'd then would be considered a traitor and then executed. Bishop told her that as the new Queen, it is her duty to prepare for the arrival of the new King. Leaving the choices before her, he then kindly asked that she embrace her destiny.
Yet still not quite confident that she has the will to perform her job just yet, Bishop decided to check up on Ryo, who was preoccupying himself. After having to remind him of what he was told to do, and Ryo reminding him of what he got in return, he decided to further sit back and trail Mio. As she later on attempted to do away with one of the traitors, she gave into her weakness and allowed them to escape. But as the couple made their way, Bishop intercepted them and cut off their path. Insisting on showing her how the Queen's job was properly carried out, he revealed his tattoo and then unleashed his own power upon the couple and Mio, killing both Fangire and Human, but luckily Queen's power shielded her from his own.
Sometime later after looking over the new Queen a little more, Bishop decided to look into Abel's recent transgressions. As he found him in a soothsayer's establishment of business just after said soothsayer was killed, Bishop interrogated Abel as to why he was killing so many people needlessly. After he explained that he had heard that the current King was amongst human society and that he should exert special powers because of his status, Bishop inquired if Abel intended to kill him. As Abel complied with the answer, stating that he then would be, Bishop said otherwise. As he admitted that Abel was indeed strong, King was stronger.
Later on after following Mio around some more, disappointed in her interest of companions, Bishop decided to trail Abel a little more. Observing his fight with Rook and then IXA, then Rook's fight with Kiva. Bishop found great amusement in discovering Kiva's identity to be the young man whom Mio had been seeing earlier.

Sometime later, Bishop summoned and escorted Mio into the new headquarters for the Checkmate Four. Within the confines of said building in addition to himself and Queen, the long absent Rook also was present. As Bishop proclaimed his feelings of joy on that everyone was finally assembled, he then told Mio that as queen, it is not only her duty to enforce order amongst the Fangires, but protect them from danger, namely Kiva. After he slipped on an ankle bracelet on her left ankle, the three were then finally joined by and greeted their new King.
Sometime later after instructing Mio to perform another execution, Bishop was called to talk to her. After expressing that he was surprised that she actually sought him out to speak, Mio proclaimed that she did not wish to be Queen any further. Not taking her seriously, he told her desire was impossible. When she proclaimed that she just couldn't go through with her duty as he tried to leave, Bishop turned back, bringing up the incident of the previous Queen and asked if she wanted to end up the same. After a seconds pause, Bishop said to Mio that she should meet her sometime.
Later in the day, Bishop was requested an audience with Taiga. As he expressed his worries over Mio, believing she may have feelings for someone else, Bishop assured him that such worries were not for him to be concerned of, as he was the King and the rightful heir to the Dark Kiva. But as Taiga pointed out that there already was a Kiva, Bishop proclaimed that the Dark Kiva was a symbol of the King, and that he would take care of the present Kiva.
Knowing the identity of said Kiva from witnessing a previous fight against Rook, Bishop found the young man in a local playground. After quietly approaching him, Bishop politely asked how the young fellow came into possession of Kiva and who his parents were. But as it seemed apparent that he was not keen on answering, Bishop then decided to beat the answer out of him. After roughing him up for a bit, Bishop pinned him down and reverted to his true form, still demanding an answer. Unfortunately, Bishop was shot off the young fellow by another individual. Observing the stranger who shot him, Bishop noticed that the Horsefly Fangire he was fighting was quite out of the ordinary. However this distraction gave the young man he attempted to interrogate before the opportunity to transform into Kiva. Engaging him, Bishop was easily able to outclass the impostor Kiva, but unfortunately the tables were turned as the false Kiva transformed into a more powerful form. After throwing down further with the Fangire, Bishop was thrown at the Horsefly Fangire, saving the individual who shot him earlier. As the fake Kiva performed what appeared to be the Emperor Moon Break, Bishop vanished into thin air just before the mighty kick could make contact.
Sometime later after having to point out one of Taiga's errors, Bishop once again asked to speak with him, this time about when his wedding would be held. As Taiga had believed it was still too early, Bishop went on to claim that the ceremony was important to all Fangires, and that many have been anticipating it for some time, Taiga included. After he recommended that Taiga work with the new Queen until she felt comfortable to work independently, Bishop then requested that he take head of the preparations.

Later in the day, Bishop made his way to Maya's cave to further investigate the identity of the possessor of Kiva. Going right to the point, he asked her if she knew of the young man named Kurenai Wataru. As Bishop went on to state that Wataru had killed many of their kind, he claimed that Maya was the only one who could've possibly given him the power of Kiva. After recalling that the very reason her powers and status were taken from her were because of loving a Human. Bishop then theorized that they must've sired a child, and with that child, she bequeathed him Kiva.
Sometime later, Taiga immediately summoned bishop to the meeting room. After asking Bishiop furiously if he knew of Kiva's identity as Wataru all along, Bishop replied asking if it really mattered. After he claimed that the possessor of Kiva must be killed amongst all else, Taiga then asked why Wataru possessed Kiva. But after Taiga thought about it for second, he then came to a realization, but couldn't believe it. Knowing what donned on Taiga, Bishop then asked if he'd like to see Maya. As he asked if Bishop knew where she was, Bishop went on to claim that from then on his path would be then full of obstacles. But when he would finally get through them, he would become the greatest King.
Later that night as Mio thought over the recent revelation at an empty ampitheater, Bishop appeared asking why she was being so hesitant. As he said that as Queen, she must exterminate Wataru, Mio claimed she couldn't. But as Bishop reminded her that since Wataru saw her true form, knowing she was a Fangire, it didn't matter how she felt about him. Claiming that only one path was open for her now, Bishop stated that by going down that path properly, she must Kill Wataru. And when that is accomplished, she'd become the greatest Queen.
Sometime later, after accompanying Taiga to awaken his dormant Fangire side and afterward facing off with a couple of IXA's users. Bishop had decided to use the Seamoon Fangire as bait to lure out IXA once again, this time intent on finishing what he started. Attacking IXA just as he had began to attack the Seamoon, they were seemingly on par with one another for most of the fight. However IXA had managed to land a finishing attack on the Fangire. Although not enough to destroy him, it sent Bishop into a bitter retreat.
Sometime later, as the wedding between the new King and Queen began, Bishop observed the ceremony from the shadows, despite the request that no witnesses be present. After they professed their vows, and shared a glass of some kind of wine, they then proceeded to finalize the ceremony with a kiss. However, just before their lips met, they stopped. As Taiga stepped back, it became apparent that Mio had stabbed him with her hands partially reverted to her original form. After Taiga had collapsed, Mio tired to escape. However, she was then cut off from her escape by Bishop, but Taiga ordered him to stand down. After claiming she didn't do anything, Bishop asked why he insisted on protecting her despite the blatant fact that she pretended to love him in order to get close enough to kill him. Still denying what Mio had done, she then finally did escape.
Later on, as Taiga was locked in combat with Wataru, Bishop observed the battle just as Mio was. Moving around the scene, Mio was fortunately sent off the cliff by Wataru. Knowing that then and there was the time, Bishop approached Mio as she attempted to get back up from her fall. As he reverted to his true form, Bishop claimed that for the sake of King, she had to die. With that, Bishop released a large wave of energy at the weakened Queen, and left her to die slowly.
Sometime later after trying to console Taiga on Mio's death, he still sulked around and mourned for her. Fed up with his attitude, Bishop asked him how much longer he was going to sulk around. After telling him that her execution was inevitable, Bishop told Taiga to forget about her for the better. After Taiga asked if he heard Bishop correctly, Bishop explained that he personally carried out her execution for her most disgraceful betrayal. And with Wataru demoralized and unable to fight thinking that he delivered the killing blow, he wouldn't be able to fight them from then on. After claiming that two nuisances have been taken care of simultaneously, Taiga erupted in a fit of rage and began to beat Bishop to the ground. As he claimed that what Bishop did could not be atoned for, Bishop fled, inquiring to himself as to why Taiga disapproved of his loyalty.

Intent on deposing Taiga from his position and resurrecting his predecessor to take his place, Bishop had started gathering life energy and stored it. After gathering a certain amount, Bishop had released some life energy to revive large numbers of lesser Fangires in order to gather more life nergy to speed the process up. While overseeing their progress, Bishop had run into the IXA System's user again. Feeling the need to challenge him again, Bishop reverted to his true form and the two did battle. As it seemed that Bishop this time had the upper hand, another member of the Blue Sky Org arrived to assist. However as Bishop went to strike her down with his sword, IXA's user took the hit for her. Hitting him down, Bishop had unfortunately been forced to retreat after being unexpectedly hit by an excess energy blast from the IXA Knuckle.
