We are first introduced to Megumi as she was enjoying a meal in a small restaurant after a recent photo shoot. After finishing her meal, she noticed the bones from the fish she ate were moving. Getting a better look, it turned out that someone was stealing them, but ran as soon as she noticed. Luckily, she soon caught up to the masked stranger.

Taking him to Mald'amour, Megumi immediately demanded for the stranger to remove his glasses and mask after inquiring as to why he wanted her leftovers. But after getting impatient, she decided to do it for him. After a short struggle she finally removed everything that covered the stranger's face. Much to her surprise, she found his face to be mildly attractive. But as the stranger placed his hands over his mouth, she couldn't help but assume that he was immensely shy of her looks. Unfortunately he disagreed and soon stated that he had a severe allergy to the entire world. Not believing it, Megumi soon instructed him to give deep breaths. But as he didn't do so, she soon helped him by taking hold of his arms and pulled them back and forth slowly as he inhaled and exhaled.

Later on she met up with Tsugami Kaoru, a male model who had scouted her. After confessing that she was a fan of his, he retorted stating that he had recently been a fan of hers and had been keeping en eye on her career. After mentioning that he had a recent photo shoot, Megumi was, much to her delight, invited to his studio for further discussion.

Eventually arriving at the studio, she came in as the photo shoot was wrapping up. As Kaoru left for his dressing room, a large dark curtain dropped around Megumi. Kaoru walking out of the shadows, begins to revert to his Fangire form. Managing to run out into a parking lot, she found her escape rout cut off by Kaoru who then reverted to his original form, The Horse Fangire. But with his revelation, Megumi soon revealed her small gun made to combat Fangires. Shooting him in the gut, she expressed her disappointment in that he wasn't human.

As the fight went on, Kaoru easily proved to be the physically superior combatant. Luckily as Megumi got enough distance from him, she loaded a different magazine into the gun. Shooting a whip line, she managed to get a few good hits on him. Unfortunately, Kaoru apparently could shoot powerful gusts of wind from his mouth, knocking her off the edge of the building. Luckily as she fell, she relaunched the whip line and used it as a grappling hook. Reaching the ground safely, she was immediately intercepted by Kaoru again. Fortunately as he tried to finish Megumi off, Kiva appeared and dragged Kaoru off of, and away from her. After witnessing the fight and Kaoru's demise, she followed Kiva down an alley. Trying to shoot him, It proved futile as he simply deflected the shots and continued on his way. Instead of pursuing, Megumi pulled out a camera and tried to get some quick pictures of him instead.

Lecture.png

Sometime later after reporting her encounter with Kiva to Shima Mamoru, Megumi ran into the stranger from before, Kurenai Wataru, again. This time at Mald'amour as he was trying to take the table that sat at the entrance. Bringing him inside, she interrogates and lectures him on how young men like him are procrastinators, and don't do their best in life. However as the young girl with him, Nomura Shizuka, tries to vouch for him, describing herself as Wataru's mother, Megumi immediately shoots her down. Blaming his behavior on her poor parenting, claiming Wataru to be emotionally spoiled.

After another photo shoot, Megumi started hearing a violin playing. Entranced by it, she followed the melody to it's source. Eventually arriving at a race track, still in trance, Megumi failed to notice the Fangire fangs over her as the violinist continued to play it's hypnotic tune. However before the the fangs could strike, the violinist stopped. Snapping out of her trance, Megumi immediately noticed the Fangire and drew her weapon as the Violinist reverted to the Octopus Fangire.

After dodging the Fangire's explosive ink blasts and trying to shoot it, Megumi was caught by the Fangire's tentacle. The Fangire continued to choke her till Kiva had appeared and broke the tentacle off, freeing Megumi. Soon after Kiva had apparently defeated the Fangire.

Reporting the second encounter to Shima, she brings up his earlier mentioning of Kiva possibly being a great threat, perhaps more so than the Fangires. After he reassured her that if it happens, Nago Keisuke would fight Kiva, Megumi implied that it wouldn't be a good idea for Nago to fight and instead volunteered for the job. However much to her disappointment, Shima denied her request.

After taking having a cup of coffee at Mald'amour, she eventually tracks down the Moth Fangire at a running track. Intercepting the monster just before it could have it's way with it's victim, she attempted to fight it head on. However it's explosive powder and strength proved to be too much to handle. Fortunately, just as the Fangire had Megumi's own gun pointed at her head, Kiva yet again appeared to take over the fight. Taking the opportunity to get some cover, Megumi fled into the stadium where she was found by Nago Keisuke, who immediately deduced that Kiva was involved in the case.

Returning to Mald'amour the next day, Megumi was surprised to find Wataru out and about without his chaparone. Sparking her curiosity as he was lurking about as though he were looking for something, she couldn't help but try to find out what it was he needed. Unfortunately, what he was looking for was Nago who had just then walked through the door. Finding out that it was advice Wataru wanted from Nago, as the two had apparently met each other previously, she then found that just about everyone, Including Kido, turned her a cold shoulder.

Annoyance.png

A little later as she found Wataru after hearing form Shizuka about Wataru's personal issues with clearing his father's name, she tried to talk him out of what he was doing. After stating that he wasn't under any legal obligation, Nago appeared, claiming that it was a problem with how Wataru felt about his father. As Wataru went on his way, Megumi couldn't help but remark at how Nago feels he needs people weaker than he so he can look down on them. Eventually the two part ways after Nago openly states that Megumi's analyzing him is a pointless way to get ahead of him.

During another photo shoot, Megumi was surprised to find Wataru digging through her things in her dressing room. After Confessing that Nago asked him to, Megumi spoke with Nago. Belittling him for making Wataru spy on and steal from her. With Nago confused about the stealing part, Wataru explained that it was instruction from the other "guard" sent to protect Megumi. But Nago quickly disregarded that, saying that he had no one else on it and that Wataru was tricked by someone stalking Megumi. Not caring much about that, Megumi was more bothered by the fact that Nago had someone pry into her privacy, something she hates the most.

The next day as Megumi made her way through a public indoor parking lot, a stranger, Kuramae Noboru, approached her. Claiming to be a fan of hers, he asked her for her autograph. Flatered, she agreed to but as she was signing, the man transformed into the Sheep Fangire. After being grabbed by him, Megumi eventually got free of his grip with the help of her gun. After commenting oh his taste in women for a Fangire, she attempted to shoot him. However Noboru's immense speed allowed him to dodge her every shot. After being caught in his grasp again, Megumi was let loose this time thanks to the intervention of Kiva. Watching the fight, Megumi managed to get Noboru off of Kiva as he seemed to have been overpowering him. But with the Fangire's attention returning to her, she tried to retreat. However this proved futile as he eventually caught up and kidnapped her.

Waking up in a strange room, tied up, Megumi tried to shake herself free from her restraints. But after bagning her feet on the floor too many times, it unvieled a board full of photos of her mother, Yuri. But soo enough, she noticed Noboru looking over her in his human form. However he was soon shoved to the side by someone else, Itoya Ryo who referred to her as Yuri, Megumi's mother. After claiming Megumi to be exactly like her in every way, he Noboru away as he was apparently too close to Megumi. After Ryo told him to just do as he says, he then proposed they give her a manicure.

Captive.png

As Ryo was finishing up applying nail polish to her toes, Wataru appeared, requesting that they release Megumi and put him in her place. Unfortunately Wataru was only met with the back of Ryo's hand to his face, knocking him out. Turning his attention to Noboru, he deduced that Wataru's appearance was his fault. After he transformed into the Spider Fangire, he quickly scarred Noboru off.

When Ryo was elsewhere, preparing himself for his ceremony. Wataru, who was now tied up as well, apologized for not doing anything that helped the situation. Still trying to get free, Megumi told Wataru to not give up no matter what till the very end. Looking around for something of use, she spotted a small wing shaped necklace. After picking it up, she realized it was the same necklace that Yuri was wearing in the picture on the wall. But before she could cut the ropes completely, Ryo showed up with Megumi's wedding dress. Only then to be interrupted again this time By Noboru, shooting Ryo and forcing him to flee. With Ryo out of the picture, Noboru then on decided that Megumi is his bride to be.

After managing to get away as Kiva had apparently showed up and Wataru visiting Megumi at the hospital where he performed on his violin, Megumi decided to check herself out while he and Shizuka visited. However as Nago made his way in, he insisted that she didn't. Believing he just wanted her out of the way, Refused to stay.

Later in the day, Shima brought up a new lead on a string of possible Fangire attacks. As recent customers of the restaurant, Maison Cercueil, have gone missing, they believe it to be the work of a Fangire. So with that in mind, Megumi called up Wataru. Telling him that she wanted to treat him as a means of thanking him for his attempting to rescuing her. However at the randevouse point, Wataru didn't show up, Nago did. Having no choice but to, Megumi unfortunately left for Maison Cercueil along with Nago.

While there, Megumi indulged herself in the many dishes that were brought to her and Nago. But as Nago had pointed out that she was using some of her eating utensils incorrectly, she noticed that Wataru was the one waiting them. As Nago explained that he told Wataru to work there to gather information, Megumi protested, claiming that the situation is too dangerous for him to be involved in. But as the two continued to argue with one another, the restaurant's owner, Inukai, ceased the fight and asked them to leave.

The next day as she was trailing the other couple who dined at Maison Cercueil at the same time as she and Nago did, the Prawn Fangire appeared and attacked the couple. Unfortunately not arriving in time to save the man, Megumi managed to secure the woman. However after taking some cover and firing at the Fangire, her shots proved useless. Eventually Megumi was knocked unconscious after the Fangire sprayed an explosive kind of foam that caused her to hit her head on a nearby car.

Wut.png

Sometime later after the encounter with the Prawn Fangire, Megumi spotted Wataru oddly scurrying about as she was in her favorite restaurant. Curious, she followed him home. After praising Wataru for not only playing Violins, but making them, the varnish made of the sauce caught fire on contact with the Violin he made. Just as the fire was put out, Inukai burst through the door, fired Wataru, and took his sauce back. With Megumi's suspicions growing, Wataru had proposed another date to investigate further.

Unfortunately as she arrived at the randevouse point, dressed up in a 19th century european dress, she again found Wataru to be absent. Rushing to Maison Cercueil, Megumi was surprised to see Wataru there with Shizuka. Deciding to watch, Megumi layed low until Inukai showed up and revealed signs of being a Fangire. Luckily as Wataru and Shizuka got away, Megumi cut off Inukai's pursuit. After he turned into th Prawn Fangire, the two duked it out all the way to the near by docks. Luckily, even though she was overpowered in the fight and eventually thrown into the bay, Kiva had soon arrived and defeated Inukai.

Sometime later after being denied the chance for user ship of the IXA system and pleading to Nago to use it, Megumi visited the grave site of her mother and grandmother. With Shima arriving not too long after, he sensed Megumi's displeasure of not possessing the IXA system. But after hearing that her personal feelings towards her mother were not justifiable reasons to use IXA, she left.

Due to drowning herself in mutlple cups of Irish coffee, Megumi decided to run some laps at a local running track. With Nago deciding to join her, the two soon found themselves trading snobbish comments of one another as they ran. But mid lap, Megumi felt something in the air. Looking towards the stands, she saw a familiar figure retreat out of site. Eventually finding the him as he fought Kiva, she cut off his escape path. But soon enough, Nago arrived donning IXA while on the IXAlion. Completely ignoring Ryo, Nago went straight for Kiva on foot. Later remounting the IXAlion, Megumi could only watch as Nago managed to get one last good hit at Kiva, sending him over the edge of the building and into the river below.

Some days later after Megumi filled in for Wataru in his band's first live performance and encountering Itoya Ryo again, Megumi reported to Shima on Nago's defeat in his rematch against Kiva. Surprised by Shima's lack of surprise, Megumi openly speculated if Shima had anticipated Nago's defeat.

After Megumi and Shizuka came to Wataru's home as he had been feeling down recently, she had found a note that instructed either of them to not look for him. Later in the day however, Megumi coincidentally ran into Wataru. Annoyed that he had been spending time with someone in town instead of going on a road trip like his not instructed, Megumi decided to drag him home. Unfortunately, the woman Wataru was with had other plans. Stating herself to be his new teacher, only to have Megumi say that she is his "Special cute teacher". As the two continue to argue, they turn the battle of words into a literal tug of war as each grabbed hold of Wataru's arms, yanking on him to where they want to go.

Archery.png

Eventually heading into a gym, the three started out with lifting weights, which Megumi and the woman seemed to be at competition with one another. Moving on, the three started archery, which Megumi and the woman both seemed to compete at. But as the two got closer and closer to the center of the target, the woman collapsed in pain.

Shortly after, the woman explained that she often hears a sort of sound. The woman even going on to state that the sound caused her to lose her chance in performing in the Olympics. This immediately caused Megumi to recognize her as as Kurosawa Mami, an archery competitor who represented Japan in the previous Olympics.

Sometime later after hearing of the latest string of Fangire attacks, the victims being female athletes. Megumi heads over to Ms. Kurosawa as she recalled her story of the flying fangs. Luckily arriving in time, Megumi engaged the Seastar Fangire first via firearms. However as that proved to be futile, they then went into close quarters combat. Unfortunately not proving to be a match, Megumi was luckily thrown away as Nago had stepped in with IXA. But after he had beaten the Fangire down into his human guise and deactivated IXA, the police, who were called by Ms. Kurosawa earlier, soon arrived and arrested the both of them.

Some days later, as Nago had been telling Wataru of his belief that Kiva was a great threat to humanity, Megumi walked through the entrance doors of Mald'amour. After agreeing with Wataru on that Kiva might not be a threat at all based on his rescues of her, Kengo brought up seeing a fortune teller to find out Kiva's identity. Liking the idea, the two then tried to get Wataru to tag along. In doing so, Nago also decided to come as well based on how psychics were used to help solve some of the F.B.I.'s unsolved cases.

Eventually arriving at the fortune teller's, the four could do nothing but sit quietly behind while he chanted. As the fortune teller ended his chanting, he said that Kiva holds a terrifying secret. However after being asked what the secret was, he collapsed. Not surprised that the fortune teller failed, Nago began to leave. However as he was making his way across the room, all soon realized that Wataru had passed out.

After carying him home, Megumi, Kengo and Shizuka were present as Wataru woke up. However after waking up, Wataru didn't quite act like himself. Accused of being thieves, Wataru then pointed his attention to Megumi, flirting with her by asking her to steal his heart. but soon enough Wataru snapped back to normal, claiming to have felt another presence in himself.

Later in the day after noticing that Nago and Kengo were being attacked by the Ladybug Fangire, Megumi immediately rushed in to back Nago up. Tag teaming the Fangire, the two managed to beat him back quite efficiently together. But as the battle was looking to be won, the Fangire Unfortunately managed to get a hold of Nago, using him as a shield from Megumi's gun. After knocking her gun from her by throwing Nago at her, Megumi immediately went for the IXA Knuckle, which Nago had dropped earlier. However as Megumi found herself having a hard time transforming, The Ladybug Fangire too the opportunity to viciously beat her up until Kengo had stepped in. Unfortunately being easily knocked out, the Ladybug Fangire then took hold of Both Nago and Kengo. Telling her before she passed out that he'd be taking them hostage till Megumi decided to fight using IXA.

Spirit.png

Sometime later after being examined by the doctor at the hospital, Wataru entered her room. Making it blatantly apparent that somehow he was in possession of IXA, he teased her with it. Continuously hanging it in front of her beyond her reach till Megumi mentioned her wanting to complete what her mother wanted to do. This somehow striking some kind of significance to Wataru, he immediately mentions Yuri to her. After after asking as to how he knew of her mother, he finally let Megumi have IXA. After some further wisecracking, Watatru eventually diagnoses her with having a damaged spirit. As he claimed she has no will to fight using IXA, Megumi immediately commanded him to leave.

The next day as Megumi was trying to rehabilitate herself, Wataru shows up showing off his new threads he bought on the "inter-net" after she tried to walk, but failed and fell to the ground. Encouraging her to return to normal living, Megumi shrugged off his suggestions, still determined to return to her proper condition. After asking who he was since his personality was very different from the Wataru she knew, he simply replied that he was a messenger of love. However despite her determination, Wataru still tails her. Following her to an indoor swimming pool, he advised her once again (from a lounge chair surrounded by flotation devices) to give up and return to a normal life as she was struggling to swim her first lap.

As she was still trying to rehabilitate herself, Megumi unfortunately found again by Wataru in the middle of a track field. Rolling up next to her on a small bicycle, he inquires as to how long she's going to put up with her situation. Still acting adamant on what she wants, Wataru remarks on how troublesome she is and once again reveals to be in possession of IXA. Yet despite her command to give it back, he ignores her. Rolling up to a metal waste can with a bonfire going inside, the dangles IXA over it. Claiming that the device is the source of her pain, Wataru drops it in. Desperate to get IXA, Megumi immediately jumps to her feet kicks over the fire containing can over. After her retrieving IXA, he then makes her realize. She did not have what it took to use IXA, and because of that, her condition was all in her head. Standing before her, he tells her she only has two paths of life to choose from. That of normalcy, or that of a fighter. After commenting that she resembles Yuri, he encourages her to choose quickly, as Nago and Kengo don't have much time.

Luckily just before the Ladybug Fangire had consumed Nago and Kengo's life energies, Megmi showed up at his hidout. Angry at her being late, the Fangire rushed to take Megumi down. Fortunately Megumi this time was confident enough to hold back the Fangire by herself. But after being thrown back by the Fangire's energy blasts, Megumi got right back up, just as confident as ever, whipped the Fangire and freed Nago and Kengo. After handing the IXA Knuckle to Nago, for now, and transforming. The two continued their two agains one fight from before. After Nago had destroyed the Ladybug Fangire with his IXA Judgment, It's soul formed into a golden Sabbat. But luckily with the help of Kiva, both Nago and Kiva were able to quickly destroy it.

Gokon.png

Sometime later as Kengo and Wataru had begged Nago to allow Kengo to be his disciple, Kengo proposed that he should take Nago to a group date. But while Nago was not in the same spirits, Megumi took a liking to the idea. Recalling that she had not apparently been on one for some time, suggested Wataru go along with them. after he reluctantly agreed, Nago then spontaneously decided to come as well.

When the date began and everyone started making their order, When it came to Wataru, he couldn't decide. Megumi annoyed by his stalling, just teased him to try and order something. The one girl, Keiko, tried to vouch for Wataru as she openly found him attractive. Later as the date went on, Keiko expressed curiosity as to what type of girl Wataru was was interested in. Unfortunately he yet again got nervous and didn't know what to say, much to Megumi annoyance. However Keiko vouching for him again claimed that his timid attitude was what she liked of him.

Some few days later, Suzuki Mio, the waitress from the group date, came by Mald'amour explaining that her date with Kengo didn't leave her feeling very well. After thinking for a while, Megumi decided to play matchmaker and thought that Wataru was better suited for her. As Wataru was unsure of himself, Kengo, who had apparently been in the door long enough to overhear, was in disbelief. After Mio had apologized to Kengo and ran off, Megumi encouraged Wataru to follow. but as he felt he shouldn't since he it might wrong his friend further, Kengo expressed his approval of the situation, Wataru then gave chase.

After hearing of how well it went with Mio and Wataru, Megumi and Kido chatted with Wataru as to if he had another date set up, claiming the two to be a good match. But after his brief puase in embarrassment, Wataru asked if Megumi had a boyfriend. Embarrassed herself, but trying to play it off as insulted, Megumi then confessed that she didn't. After she wa asked what kind of man she preferred, she stating that someone who was knowledgeable, athletic, lively and good looking were the qualities she wanted in a man. After Wataru brought up Nago immediately after Megumi stated her preferences, she almost bursted with anger had Nago not have walked in the cafe.

Later in the day during another of Megumi's photo shoots, the other model scheduled to model with Megumi had called in sick. With the photography staff in a tight pinch, Megumi thought of bringing Mio down to the set. At first Mio had been reluctant, Megumi finally persuaded her to do it with Wataru's help. So now with the extra model position filled, Megumi took both Mio and Wataru to the set. Unfortunately for Mio, she felt too nervous to do anything in front of the camera. But that all soon went away after Megumi had advised Mio to just relax and think of a pleasant memory or something that made her feel good.

Sometime later, after fending off Itoya Ryo and the Shark Fangire with Nago from Mio, at the expense of losing IXA to Ryo. Megumi and Nago eventually had their rematch with Ryo as he attempted to go after Mio once again. Although they were lucky enough to distract him as Mio got away, the fight turned for the worse when Ryo activated and donned IXA. After he made short work of the two, Megumi suddenly had an idea. Using his affection for her against him, she played into his desires. After finally getting him to deactivate IXA by reeling him in for a kiss, she landed a solid kick to his groin. Taking the belt and the IXA Knuckle from him, she quickly tossed them over to Nago. As Megumi commented on that they just weren't right for each other, Nago activated IXA and finally warded Ryo off.

Arrest.png

Sometime later as Megumi was enjoying a meal at her favorite restaurant, a detective and his cadre of police officers stormed in and arrest her under charges of robbery. As Shima and Nago visit her in holding, she pleas to them to believe her that she had done no such thing, despite Nago wishing that it was he that brought her in.

Due to Nago traveling to 1986 and rewriting the past, the recent events involving members of the Wonderful Blue Sky Org being framed for various crimes were negated unbenownst to everyone save for Nago and the Arms Monsters.

As the Crab Fangire was running amok in public, freely preying upon Humans, Megumi jumped into action. As she was facing the Fangire alone, she was soon joined by Kengo. However as they were both soon caught in the Fangire's claws, Kiva appeared. As the tide of battle seemed to be against the Fangire, the tables were yet again turned as the Cicada Fangire appeared and ganged up along with the Crab on Kiva. When things seemed to have gone from bad to worse with Kengo's whip turning back on him and cutting up his arm, Nago soon showed up, activating IXA and transferring to Rising IXA. As Nago took care of and did away with the Cicada, Kiva was left to do the same with the Crab.

Sometime later as she was called in to a fancy restaurant with Shima and Nago in order to talk with an important person. This said person turned out to be Megumi's younger brother, Mitsuhide, who was intent on bringing her back home as per their three year agreement. Yet despite their agreement, Megumi claimed that she never really meant to make that agreement. After Nago imploring her to go, Megumi saying that she wanted to fulfill her mother's wishes, and Mitsuhide saying that being apart of the Blue Sky org was not among those wishes, Yuri stormed out.

The next day after Megumi and Mitsuhide spoke again about whether or not she was going home, and hearing that Mitsuhide turned all his lotto money in exchange for Megumi's resignation, Megumi went to speak with Shima. As he told her that he wouldn't fire her, she then asked about the money, which he mentioned that he'd keep it for himself. Wondering if her mother would be happy with that she was an agent of the Blue Sky Org, Shima brought up that the issue was how Megumi felt about herself. After saying that she wanted to pick up where her mother left off, she then asked Shima if he knew of a Fangire named Rook. As he admitted that he did, Shima told Megumi that if she had any plans or hopes of killing him, then drop them.

MegumivsRook.png

Later in the day as Megumi was making her way through town, she warned some kids who were playing in the middle of the street. After proceeding about her business, she noticed the breaks of a cargo truck went out, and was heading to the kids she had warned earlier. As she was running after the truck, trying to tell the kids to get out of the way, someone ran in front of the truck and stopped it before it hit the two kids. After getting a better look at the individual who stopped it, he was blatantly a Fangire.

Trailing him to a nearby industrial facility and trying to attack him, he merely laughed and scoffed at her. After claiming her attacks wont work, he then proclaimed himself to be Rook of The Checkmate Four. After being disarmed of her gun and being tussled around for a while, Megumi then drew her Fangire slayer and continued to fight. Unfortunately this had about as much effectiveness as her gun. Luckily, after being literally dragged around by Rook against the asphalt, Rook lost interest and left.

The next day as Megumi was enjoying a cup of coffee, Mitsuhide burst through the door, mortified at his sister's injuries. As this further fueled his pleas to come back home with him, Megumi told him to lay off since she has had injuries like what she has before. As Mitsuhide shuttered to think of what their mother would think of this, Megumi retorted saying that she of all people understood what she would've thought.

After Megumi reported to Shima about her encounter with Rook, and Mitsuhide getting Shima to have Megumi resign, Megumi went out on her own anyway to stake out a possible Fangire target. While posing as a crew member for a televised large scale magicians trick, Rook once again appeared. After charging and being overpowered by him even though he didn't revert to his true form, he released her as they both noticed the Warthog Fangire just before she lost consciousness.

After reporting to Shima about the Warthog Fangire's motives, Megumi found herself in another argument with Mitsuhide. As Mitsuhide still claimed that the life Megumi was living was not for her, Megumi finally decided to tell her brother that their mother wanted him to be the fighter in the first place. After saying that she was fighting for him, Mitsuhide slapped her only to have Megumi slap him in return, and left.

Later on as Megumi was looking at a picture of her mother in a public terrace, Mitsuhide appeared, prompting the both of them to apologize at the same time. As Mitsuhide amusingly commented on what their mother originally wanted of him, Megumi claimed that she'd be happy with what he is now anyway. Just then, Mitsuhide jumped to his feet, just remembering that he had won the lottery a second time.

The next day after looking through the Blue Sky Org's old records, finding a weak point on Rook's body and failing to ask Nago to lend her IXA, Megumi was on her way with Mitsuhide heading back home. When an oddly dressed stranger appeared before them, asking if Mitsuhide had powers, they both ran. When he revealed himself to be the Warthog Fangire, Megumi attacked him. Unable to contend with him alone, Megumi suffered a short beating from the Fangire until Nago came, activating IXA and engaging the Fangire.

As Nago dealt with the Warthog, Rook appeared before Megumi requesting that he kill him so he could go to heaven. Complying with his request, Megumi made multiple successful hits on him with the whip feature of her gun. Unfortunately it didn't even make a scratch on him despite not even reverting to his true form. Not pleased with what she could dish out, Rook decided to kill her since she couldn't kill him. Just as he was strangling her, Kiva appeared and separated him from her.

MegumivsRook2.png

After further witnessing the fight between the Fangires and their combatants and Nago and Kiva trading opponents, Megumi once again asked Nago to lend her the IXA System. After a breif moments pause, Nago deactivated IXA and told Megumi to finish Rook off. After being tossed the IXA Knuckle and activating IXA, Megumi engaged Rook. After a fierce struggle against the mighty Fangire, Megumi recalled his weak spot and shot his shoulder. Getting back up, now aiming for his shoulder, Megumi made many successful strikes with the IXA Calibur's blade. With the IXA Judgment charged, Megumi one again made several strikes on Rook's shoulder. As the mighty Fangire fell to his knees, he shattered and exploded, finally ending Rook once and for all.

Sometime later after Megumi had some fun out Nago's falling out of being the user of the IXA System due to Kengo's joining Blue Sky Org, Nago gathered his fellow members and Wataru at a traditional Japanese inn to announce something. As he stood up, Wataru went straight to the point and proclaimed that he was Kiva. As not a one of them believed Wataru, Nago backed him up, claiming that he was indeed kiva as per witnessing it with his own eyes. Needless to say it left everyone in the room speechless. As Wataru apologized for keeping the truth from everyone, Nago continued to back him up by claiming that with a kind and caring individual such as Wataru as Kiva, there was nothing to fear. But as Nago was about to make a toast to Wataru as Kiva, Wataru then claimed that he had one last thing to say. As Shima encouraged Wataru to let it out, Wataru did just that and proclaimed that he was a Half-Fangire. As Megumi thought it was a joke, asking if it was April Fools, Shima on the other hand believed it. Claiming that Wataru would have to be such since no ordinary kind of human could be Kiva.

The next day, Shima called in Megumi, Nago and Kengo in for their next assignment. As orders from the higher-ups in the Organization had been handed down, Shima proclaimed that the Blue Sky Org had marked Kiva to be eliminated. As Megumi and Nago both voiced their opinions against it, Shima ignored them, openly stating that it wasn't the time for such. Stating that Kengo was still the assigned user of the IXA System, Shima assigned Megumi and Nago as backup. Arming them with sniper rifles with prototype bullets specially made to destroy Fangires.

Later in the day they managed to track down Wataru jsut after he had destroyed the Mantis Fangire. With Kengo facing Wataru head on, Megumi and Nago positioned themselves at the top of the dam where the fight took place. A while after Wataru took numerous hits and refused to attack Kengo, Megumi couldn't bring herself to shoot Wataru. Not long after, the Swallowtail Fangire appeared and subdued Kengo and then Taiga inexplicably appeared as well. After they seemingly exchanged some words, the Swallowtail then sent Wataru into a raging bloodlust and went for the Megumi and Nago. Before he could nearly impale her, Nago pushed him away, but as he was about to strike Nago, he called out to Wataru, instantly snapping him out of his rage. Confused over what just happened, he finally realized what he had just done as Kengo shouted out to him, referring to him as a Fangire. And with that realization, Wataru fled in shame.

Sometime later, after after reporting to Shima about the failed operation Megumi sulked over the bar end of Mald'amour as Nago waked in. After he tried to make her feel better by using various phrases that all point out to things getting better over time, Megumi asked why Nago was trying to look out for Wataru. With that, Nago took Megumi to Wataru's home, now barricaded from the inside. Prepared for the occasion, Nago brought a pair of wire cutters and made his way through the berb wire along with Megumi and Shizuka. As they got to the door, Nago grabbed the nob and was suddenly frozen in his place. Wanting to know what was up, Megumi placed her hand on his shoulder and was then also frozen. After Shizuka did the same and sparks flew around them, they finally flew back. Realizing Wataru rigged the door nob to electrocute anyone who touched it, Nago then rammed through the door. After making thier way through Wataru's house, they entered Wataru's room only to have Nago hit back due to a large log suspended from the ceiling. After Megumi tired to reason with Wataru, saying that what happened earlier was only a misunderstanding, and victim to other booby traps set about for them, they decided to retreat.

Sometime later as Wataru seemed to be looking down, Nago, Megumi and Kengo, surrounded him, trying to cheer him up with sweets. As they encouraged him to eat what the presented to him, saying it'd make him feel better, Wataru apologized to Kengo about what he said last time they spoke to one another. As he asked if they could be friends again, Kengo claimed that he thought nothing of what happened before and that they were already friends. After Kido joined in the moment, Shima then presented Wataru with a rice omelet, claiming that it was from him to Wataru as a Human. But if he was a Fangire, he'd kill Wataru. With that, Wataru proceeded to eat it.

Later on, after arriving too late with Megumi to help Shima in battle against the Sungrazer Fangire and later learning that his condition wasn't good, and then learning he disappeared, Nago, Wataru and Megumi wondered where Shima had gone. However, surprisingly, Shima then suddenly walked through Mald'amour's door, seemingly as healthy as ever. Even saying that he was such after everyone expressed their concern for his disappearance. As he made his way to order food, the three wondered if they simply dreamt Shima being injured from the git-go.

As the day went on, Nago and Megumi were alerted to the Sungrazer resurfacing and attacking people in a local park. After they chased it into an abandoned mill, they were soon joined by Shima. After heading into the mill, Nago and Megumi split up with Shima to cover more ground. Unfortunately, after looking around, Nago and Megumi were thrown back by a series of small explosions set by the Sungrazer, knocking them unconscious.

Sometime later, after watching Shima down seven plates of pasta in a row, Kido pointed out how oddly Shima had been acting as of late. As Nago speculated that it was because of failing to catch the Sungrazer (as it seemed to be keen on attacking him), he, along with Megumi, volunteered to become his bodyguards. However, Shima had Wataru in mind as a body guard. Believing it to have been an issue of distrust, Nago demanded to know why Shima chose Wataru over him.

Later on, as Nago, Wataru and Megumi watched over Shima in a local park, they commented on how despite his being targeted by the Fangires, he still goes about his everyday business as if there's nothing to be concerned about. However, after Shima inexplicably popped a stray soccer ball in mid air as it hit him, he ran away as though he were in pain. Chasing after him, they eventually came onto the Sungrazer trying to feed on some pedestrians. As Nago took it upon himself to take are of the Fangire, he activated IXA and attacked it. After he threw the Fangire behind a tree, the group then found Shima in it's place. Confused, all they could do was watch as Shima ran, screaming.

Later on, after learning of Shima's death, Nago approached Megumi with documents requiring signatures in order to gain candidacy for a promotion. Downright refused to sign the document, she ripped it up. Having copies, Nago continued to ask her as he followed her around town. After asking her why she wouldn't want him as her superior officer, she claimed that he had too high an ego, excessively picky, unsociable, ect. Yet despite that, he still continued to ask. After she had pulled a muscle, Megumi tried to signal some passing by cops. As they were inexplicably assaulted by the two officers, it had then became apparent that they were Fangires. Luckilly, Wataru ad arrived and assisted Nago.

After Nago had chased one of the Fangires away, Megumi had followed and found him overwhelmed by the Swallowtail Fangire. As Megumi arrived to assist, the Fangire then came to strike her down, but Nago took the hit for her. after Nago had collapsed, Megumi used an excess energy blast from the IXA Knuckle and fended the Fangire away.
